  • Singaporeans Robbed Staying At Jimbaran Seaview Villa, Police And Villa Staff Suspected To Be In Cahoots

Singaporeans Robbed Staying At Jimbaran Seaview Villa, Police And Villa Staff Suspected To Be In Cahoots

So glad to be back in Singapore and out of Bali. This incident in our villa in Bali has to be made known even though I do not usually post about such matters on my social media platforms. For the safety of everyone, please share our experience. We booked this villa via @agoda.

DO NOT stay at Jimbaran Seaview Villa

Yesterday, we found out that some of our money (~SGD1000 worth) was missing. When we asked the security, helpers and butlers who were staying in the villa with us the entire time, all of them (obviously) denied that they had stolen our money.

When we talked to the villa’s manager Ms Ari Wartini, not only did she blindly sided her staff she also raised her voice at us and was being very rude. She was also very quick to respond by asking us to claim insurance and threatened us that there is no point reporting police because she’s “good friends” with them and if we blow the matter up, we “may not be able to leave this country”. It is their modus operandi – to trick unsuspecting tourists to their villa and work collectively to steal from them then gang up and threaten you with their “good relations” with the police.

On advice of a local Balinese, we packed up quickly and left for a hotel as the situation could become dangerous for us due to the dilapidated and not easily accessible location where the villa is situated.

We were also unable to make a police report despite heading to THREE DIFFERENT POLICE STATIONS. We don’t know why but it seemed that they are pre-informed about rejecting our case via our driver (who was from the villa).

We highly suspect that this has happened before so please share with your friends and do not stay at Jimbaran Seaview Villa for your own safety.

  • Woman Calls Police After Bus Passenger Films Her For Not Moving When Told She Was Occupying 2 Seats

Woman Calls Police After Bus Passenger Films Her For Not Moving When Told She Was Occupying 2 Seats

Stomper Arhchun was irked when he asked to sit a woman to remove her bag so he could sit down — only to be faced with protests.

Furious that the aunty refused to do so, he took out his phone to film her. She, in turn, retaliated by allegedly calling the police.

According to the video, this incident occurred yesterday (Sep 22) 8.52am at Balestier, on board Bus 124.

    Archun wrote:

“Exposing the ugly behaviour of a selfish aunty, who refused to share the double seats on a crowded bus, and called the police shamelessly for her mistakes.”

In the clip, the woman can be seen talking to what is assumed to be the police, who then persuades her to seek the bus driver’s help or alight the bus.

  • Bullies Punches Youth Repeatedly At Void Deck While Friends Cheer

Bullies Punches Youth Repeatedly At Void Deck While Friends Cheer

Stomper Gerald sent in a video of three bullies punching a youth repeatedly at a void deck.

This incident seems to have occurred at a void deck in Singapore, but the location and time is uncertain.

There has been a rise in the number of bullying incidents lately, namely the recent case at Shuqun Secondary school, where a student was seen slapping his classmates on the head multiple times and hitting them with a book.

In the video, three bullies are seen taking turns to throw punches at a teenager while hurling vulgarities at him.

The teenager didn’t seem to retaliate.

The bullies’ friends were standing around cheering while they were punching the youth.

Stomp is contacting the Stomper for more information.

  • The Hajj Pilgrimage

    The Hajj Pilgrimage

Hundreds of thousands of Muslims from across the globe began the annual hajj pilgrimage on Tuesday (Sept 22).

The pilgrims began moving from Saudi Arabia’s holy city of Mecca to nearby Mina for the start of the event.

The first day of the hajj is known as Tarwiah Day, when pilgrims traditionally watered their animals and stocked water for their trip to Mount Arafat, about 10km from Mina.

Pilgrims stay in specially-built fireproof tents in Mina, a city which only comes alive during the hajj season.

At Mount Arafat, they will pray and recite from the Koran during the climax of the hajj season on Wednesday (Sept 23).

Mount Arafat, a rocky hill on a vast plain, is where the Prophet Mohammed is believed to have given his final sermon after leading his followers on the hajj.

Find out more about the hajj pilgrimage below.
