    Foreign Worker Died Suspended On A Tree While Cutting Off Branch

    A worker died suspended from a tree yesterday after his head was struck by a branch.

    The Indian national, identified as Mr Ganesahn, 45, was cutting off the top branch of a 25m-tall tree near Kheam Hock Road in the Bukit Timah area when it broke and he fell.

    He was hit by a branch on the left side of his head and his limp body was left hanging 10m above the ground from a rope attached to his safety harness.

    Mr Ali Hatib, 35, a co-worker, said: “When we brought him down, he had so much blood on his head.”

    Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedics pronounced Mr Ganesahn dead at the scene. The police are investigating the unnatural death.

    Indian Construction Worker Jailed For Molesting 12 Year Old Boy

    A construction worker who molested a 12-year-old boy in a public toilet was jailed for six months on Wednesday.

    Indian national Ravikumar Sathish, 20, admitted using criminal force to outrage the youngster’s modesty at a male toilet in Tampines Mall on March 2.

    A court heard that the boy had been having dinner with his mother when he went to use the loo.

    As he walked out, Sathish bumped into him and grabbed his private parts.

    Indian National Received Beating After Telling Employee Of Another Company To Do His Job

    All he wanted was to give feedback that the floor of his maintenance storeroom was wet. But technician Kathaiyan Sakthivel found himself at the end of a horrific beating.

    Closed circuit television (CCTV) footage of the attack last December shows him being punched in the face and chest, and then hit by a dustpan repeatedly until it broke.

    The 42-year-old Indian national, who feared for his life while he was being hit with the dustpan, said: “I couldn’t stop myself from crying. I knelt down, kept saying ‘sorry’ and begged him to stop hitting me.”

    He was one of two technicians from A@risco Services, an electrical servicing company, who were attacked by employees of other companies last year.
