    This is at Cantine Jurong Point a halal food court. This people were so disrespectful they brought pork and eat there using the halal fork & spoon

    All we are asking for is a little respect and understanding. You have your space to makan give us our space to makan. If you want to come into our space to makan by all means but have some manners, respect the religion.

    Jemaah Haji Singapura Selamat Berlepas Ke Arab Saudi

    Kumpulan terbesar jemaah haji Singapura seramai 467 orang berangkat ke Arab Saudi, petang tadi (5 Sep).

    Menteri Bertanggungjawab bagi Ehwal masyarakat Islam, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim bertemu dengan mereka di kedua-dua terminal 2 dan 3 Lapangan Terbang Changi untuk mengucapkan selamat berangkat.

    Dr Yaacob juga berkata beliau optimis dengan meningkatnya jumlah penduduk Islam di Singapura, kuota haji 680 orang sekarang akan ditambah pada masa akan datang. Ini sungguhpun rayuan untuk menambah kuota haji bagi jemaah Singapura tahun ini tidak dipenuhi.

    “Kita juga buat rayuan untuk menambahkan lagi kuota yang kita telah diberikan untuk mendapatkan 1,000 setahun.

    “Dengan itu kita akan mempercepatkan lagi peluang bagi jemaah kita untuk memenuhi keperluan haji oleh kerana kita tahu bahawa ada banyak keinginan di kalangan masyarakat kita,” ujarnya.

    BERI JAMINAN MUIS SIAP SIAGA SEDIAKAN PASUKAN PERUBATAN

    Dalam pada itu, Dr Yaacob juga memberi jaminan bahawa Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS) bersiap siaga menyediakan pasukan perubatan untuk para jemaah terutamanya di tengah-tengah penularan jangkitan Zika.

    MUIS menghantar 21 anggota delegasi untuk memelihara kesihatan, kebajikan dan keselamatan para jemaah haji Singapura.

    “Lebih penting ialah tanggungjawab setiap jemaah untuk menjaga diri mereka dengan baik, mengambil langkah-langkah berjaga yang tertentu.

    “Tapi kalau ia (sebarang insiden tidak diingini) berlaku, kita ada pasukan perubatan di Arab Saudi untuk menolong jemaah kita untuk mengatasi cabaran-cabaran kesihatan mereka,” kata Dr Yaacob.

    Antara jemaah haji yang berangkat ke tanah suci hari ini ialah Cik Siti ‘Alawiyah Johari, 26 tahun berserta ibu dan ayahnya. Tahun ini merupakan kali pertama mereka menunaikan haji. Segala persiapan dari segi mental dan fizikal sudah dilakukan sebaiknya.

    “Dalam segi persiapan, kita tahu informasi dari segi apa yang kita perlu buat di sana dan juga dari segi mengambil langkah-langkah berjaga tambahan,” ujarnya.

    141 JEMAAH NAIK SCOOT

    Daripada 467 jemaah hari ini, 141 daripadanya berangkat menaiki penerbangan Scoot – tahun pertama ia menyediakan penerbangan ke Jeddah.

    Lebih menarik lagi bagi seorang lagi jemaah haji, Cik Sharifah Salmah Alhabshi, 60 tahun, ini merupakan pengalaman pertamanya menaiki Scoot memandangkan kali pertama beliau ke Makkah adalah dengan menaiki kapal laut.

    “Itu dalam akhir tahun 1974, 1975 saya masih budak lagi, saya pergi naik kapal dengan ibu, bapa dengan kakak saya. Jadi kita pergi haji dengan kapal Eastern Malaysia Raya, ia memakan masa 16 hari sampai ke Jeddah,” ujarnya.

    Kumpulan terakhir jemaah haji Singapura dijadual berangkat, lusa.

    When a Muslim head of a non profit organization that promotes “dialogue” and “building bridges” publicly calls another leader in the Muslim community uncivil and lacks intelligence and continues to double down on other statuses and then posts about it on their Facebook saying “I thinks it’s an issue of capacity and abilities” and continues to discredit leaders and visionaries – then they should be called out for it. Screenshots are available as well.

    Imam Dawud Walid is known for his fiery speech delivery and impassioned sermons. He is not only a leader, an imam, a media spokesperson representing the best Muslims have to offer, he is also a Black man in America who stands in his power and has moved and challenged our community to take on race and racism as a top priority issue. He was one of the participants in the debate lead by the ISPU at ISNA where he and Dr. Sahar Aziz argued against engaging in government-lead Countering Violent Extremism programs that could harm and criminalize our communities further. We know many disagreed with their positions but by no means can anyone in good conscience or good faith say that Imam Dawud lacks intellect.

    I am outraged when Arab American Muslim or South Asian Muslim leaders question Black Americans on “civility” or “intellect” cause we confirm once again the stereotype that Black people are just angry, and that they need to work twice as hard to prove their worth and capabilities. This is a form of anti-black racism that some may be doing subconciously or even consciously. As an Arab American I am ashamed of the actions of this leader and will do my part to challenge this mindset. I have responded directly on other threads but took this time to use this as a learning opportunity.

    If you disagree with someone’s positions – you state your points you don’t police their tone nor question their intellect because their positions don’t match yours. When you critique someone especially of stature in a community – see them as a whole person. I don’t agree with Imam Dawud on some issues but will never question his or anyone else’s intellect. This is absolutely offensive and should not be left unchallenged in our communities.

    Let’s remember that we are to treat people the way we want to be treated – with dignity and respect. We are Muslim and we are to remember that we are sisters and brothers and some level of decency and mercy is in order in accordance to our faith.

    Orang2 nie kadang2, makcik,kakak or abg2 org melayu je kat stall terus bedal. Halal pa, org melayu jual pa. Yang tukang jual memang la org melayu islam tapi yg tukang bawak ayam, daging dan brg2 keperluan lain, belum tentu org Islam. Stall, org bukan Islam, pekerja org Islam. Pekerja tak perlu tahu dari mana stocks datang, dia tahu je keje, end of the day amik gaji. Unless stall owner org Islam, pekeje Islam and kalau beli brg2 tak mengikut hukum, tak berkat kasi org makan.

    Jadi Halal Cert, Halal Sticker IS A MUST kalau tak nak ada confuse di masyarat org2 Islam.

    Sebab skg, Halal cert ada, Halal Sticker ada, yg kat dalam org bukan org Islam memasak, preparation and even amik order, he or she MESTI tahu how sensitive to be a Halal Stall Worker or Owner. At least if people ask, Is This Halal? He or she MUST know how to answer.

    So for patrons who wish to eat when halal cert is being process or not sure if it’s halal or not, Tepuk Dada Tanya Iman. Islam is Simple.
