Damanhuri Abas: Malays Do Not Mind Waiting Another Six Years As Long As Government Acknowledges Ong Teng Cheong As First EP

By the evidence that Dr Tan Cheng Bock presented this morning, the Government in its haste has clearly made a mistake in terms of the number of elected Presidents to date.

Simply quietly moving the goalpost again by resorting to the AG’s interpretation is arbitrary as Dr Tan has provided all the statements over the years from the Government itself that acknowledges Mr Ong Teng Cheong as the first elected President. Clearly now, the Government must stay true to its own terms and wait for the Presidential election after this coming one for a clear 5 election cycle for a particular minority absence requirement to be met.

It will be a desperate move for the Government to insist on a clearly wrong premise and hide behind the AG.

We the Malays do not mind waiting another 6 years.

No worries mate, we are patient people and used to waiting for many other things which are more priority such as discrimination in the SAF, Tudung and others!!!

  • Is Mr Abdul Rahim Osman The First Independent Malay Candidate Contesting Presidential Elections?

Is Mr Abdul Rahim Osman The First Independent Malay Candidate Contesting Presidential Elections?

    Dear All Singapore Stuff,

I live in Sengkang. I received this flyer and name card from an Independent candidate who claimed to be doing a constituency visit recently.

As there are no by-elections at the moment, I can surmise that this Malay uncle is hoping to be an independent candidate in the September 2017 presidential election.

I googled his name Abdul Rahim Osman and found an article (https://www.allsingaporestuff.com/article/ex-wp-ex-sda-recently-singfirs…) about him. Apparently he had considered contesting the Bukit Batok by-election last year but ultimately backed out before nomination day.

Unfortunately for Mr Osman, while the presidential election is reserved for Malays, it still has a criteria and common Malays are unlikely to qualify. I doubt that Mr Osman who is a businessman, has a paid-up capital of at least S$100 million. He is neither the chairman of a board of directors nor the CEO of a statutory board.

I’m surprised that Mr Osman is still not familiar with the rules of the presidential election. If it was so simple, every abang will be submitting his resume already. Live so long in SG but still don’t know how PAP’s system works?

Mohamed Jufrie Mahmood: Singapore Must Walk The Talk, Insist Israel Respect International Law

LHL DOES NOT CARE AND IS NOT SENSITIVE TO THE FEELINGS OF A SIZEABLE SECTION OF OUR POPULATION.
THIS IS HOW POTENT THE ISRAELI POISON HAS BEEN. THERE IS A WIDE AND DISTINCT DIVIDE BETWEEN MALAY MUSLIMS AND OTHER SINGAPOREANS ON HOW THE ISRAELI/PALESTINIAN CONFLICT IS LOOKED AT.

TO MANY IT IS PERFECTLY ALRIGHT TO CLOSE BOTH THEIR EYES TO THE LAND GRABS AND ATROCITIES PERPETRATED BY ISRAEL FOR THE PAST FIVE DECADES JUST BECAUSE THEY HAD SUPPOSEDLY HELPED US BUILD UP OUR ARMED FORCES.

PAP LEADERS HAVE ALWAYS SAID THAT AS A SMALL STATE SINGAPORE MUST ALWAYS INSIST THAT COUNTRIES ALWAYS ABIDE BY THE RULE OF LAW.

ISRAEL HAS DEFIED THIS PRINCIPLE ALL THE WAY. AND THE PAP IS OK WITH THAT. DOUBLE STANDARDS, NO?
THEY TALK ABOUT BEING UNITED, THE IMPORTANCE OF UNITY AMONG THE RACES. HOW CAN THERE BE UNITY IF THEIR ATTITUDE IS SO MANIFESTLY DIVISIVE?

  • Jufrie Mahmood: Allowing War Criminal To Visit Singapore A Sign Of PAP’s Arrogance

Jufrie Mahmood: Allowing War Criminal To Visit Singapore A Sign Of PAP’s Arrogance

ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF PAP ARROGANCE! In quick succession! Soon after insulting the sensivities of a majority of Singaporeans with their SYONAN Debacle the PAP continues to insult us by hosting and honouring a WAR CRIMINAL in the next couple of days.

This murderer of men, women and children who hails from a country that has poisoned the minds of Singapore leaders to regard our neighbours, especially those up north, as our sworn enemies, is setting his foot on this blessed land of ours.

It is also due to this poison that Malays are being discriminated and our loyalty to this nation being questioned for the past 5 decades. It is also due to this that we have to allocate billions and billions of dollars of our hard earned money year after to face imaginary enemies.

When will the PAP come to their senses that they have been conned big time?

A criminal with such a murderous record should never ever be allowed to step into this sacred land and given red carpet treatment at that. The PAP is so arrogant and insensitive to the feelings of decent human beings, thinking that they are now all too powerful that they can continue to thumb their nose to whoever disagrees with them.

Actually we Singaporeans are all brothers, ready to defend and give our lives for the nation. It is the Iraelis who have divided us by sowing distrust among us.

The racist PAP swallowed the Israeli poison hook, line and sinker.

Jufrie Mahmood: Don’t Question The Loyalty Of Malays To Singapore

During the war my late father, who was then an officer in the Civil Defence was busy risking his life evacuating people from buildings bombed by the Japanese warplanes.

Compare this with what the father of someone in the ruling party did, collaborating with the Japanese invaders while many of our countrymen were being tortured and executed. For what my father did he was honoured by the Queen, head of the government of the day, with a medal (MBE) while the father of that person was posthumously honoured by the Japanese government for his services.

And I am a Malay and they dare question my and my community’s loyalty to this nation.

    That is where it hurts!
