  • Chinese Community Riot In Paris To Protest Alleged Police Brutality

Chinese Community Riot In Paris To Protest Alleged Police Brutality

Protesters spelling the word ‘violence’ in front of riot policemen in Paris on Monday.

French police said on Tuesday they opened an inquiry after a Chinese man was shot dead by police at his Paris home, triggering riots in the French capital by members of the Chinese community and a diplomatic protest by Beijing.

The shooting on Sunday, which led China’s foreign ministry to call in a French diplomat, brought about a 100 members of the French-Chinese community on to the streets in Paris’s main Chinatown district on Monday night.

Some protesters threw projectiles outside the district’s police headquarters and a number of vehicles were torched in a confrontation with riot police.

Media reports said a 56-year-old man of Chinese origin was shot dead at his home on Sunday night in front of his family after police were called to investigate an altercation with a neighbour.

Police said the man attacked police with scissors, adding that an inquiry had been opened. The man’s family, according to media reports, denied this and some media said he was holding scissors because he had been cutting fish.

Police said they questioned 35 people after Monday’s street protests and three members of the police had been treated for slight injuries, they said.

In Beijing, the foreign ministry said on Tuesday it had summoned a French diplomat to explain events. It also sought a thorough investigation by French authorities and steps to be ensure the safety of Chinese citizens in France.

  • Man Reports Purchasing Gelatin-Injected Shrimp From Shanghai Market

Man Reports Purchasing Gelatin-Injected Shrimp From Shanghai Market

A shopper in Shanghai was one of the unfortunate souls to recently report finding his freshly purchased shrimp stuffed with…blobs of gelatin.

According to local newspapers, the man brought home and peeled open his market-bought shrimp only to discover the translucent, jelly-like substance spilling out from its body.

Last month, we reported that a buyer made a similarly horrifying discovery after picking up some shrimp at a market in Wenzhou.

It’s believed that because shrimp tend to shrivel up after defrosting, some market owners pump them with gelatin to make them look more plump and fresh. Injecting them with the additives can increase their weight by 20 to 30 percent.

Gelatin can be safely consumed, but some have speculated that industrial glue may be added to the shrimp, which could be harmful.

Reporters suggest that buyers closely inspect fresh shrimp at markets to detect any unusual “bulging” action. You’ve been warned, Shanghai shoppers. Look at the disgusting pictures below and keep your eyes…wait…peeled.

  • Cross-Dressing Man Stuns Commuters With Skin-Tight Outfit

Cross-Dressing Man Stuns Commuters With Skin-Tight Outfit

A middle-aged man was spotted last week cross-dressing on Line 2 of the Shanghai Metro. The man was photographed by onlookers wearing a form-fitting pink shirt and a pair of nude pantyhose, revealing a red thong and his bulging “package” in the front. We’re not exactly sure what the contents of said package are.

Despite his classy pearls, netizens pointed out that the passenger didn’t sit in a very “lady-like” manner. The man casually read a book with his legs spread apart and his thingy (for honest lack of a better term) on full display.

Most shocking of all, however, was his attempt to pull off sandals with socks.
