SingFirst Party Harus Jelaskan Sama Ada Calon Bagi Tanjong Pagar GRC, Chirag Desai, Pernah Ditangkap Mencuri

Bila aku pertama kali nampak calon-calon SingFirst, nama Chirag Desai tu aku tengok macam aku kenal. Lepas aku tengok rally tadi, aku pasti yang Chiraj SingFirst ni orang yang aku kenal dulu.

Tahun 2008 dia pernah kena tangkap kat Shangri-La Hotel sebab dia nak curi beberapa botol wain.

    Terima Kasih

Five Injured, Three Arrested In Plaza Low Yat Incident

KUALA LUMPUR — Police arrested three more people this morning (July 13) following fresh fights that broke out after midnight outside Low Yat Plaza in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which reportedly left five people injured – three of them believed to be journalists.

Several news portals reported the early morning ruckus to be a continuation of tensions at the popular tech mall in the city’s golden triangle area that started following a disagreement in a smartphone store between a customer and the shop’s employees.

Citing an eyewitness, local news agency The Star Online reported a group of 50 to 60 men storming into a food outlet near the mall and beating up the patrons with motorcycle helmets around midnight.

Five were reported injured, with three said to be media personnel including a photographer and a journalist who attempted to protect the cameraman from the mob.

The Star Online also reported two riot police vehicles were deployed to the scene at about 1am, and added that sounds of explosions were heard at the area.

Another news portal Malaysiakini reported that several roads leading to Low Yat Plaza were sealed off following the latest fight.

Three individuals were arrested in the latest commotion, national news wire Bernama reported, citing city police chief Tajudin Md Isa who said the trio were aged between 22 and 25.

They were detained for provocative acts during a gathering outside the plaza, the policeman was reported saying but did not elaborate.

Rumours of the incident have been spread on the Internet, with some describing the fights as racial.

However, police have repeatedly said there was nothing racial in the melee.

“I assure that the police will carry out investigations which are transparent and fair to both parties.

“The public is advised not to listen, believe or spread rumours on social media. Rely on the police for information,” Mr Tajudin was quoted saying by Bernama today.

Yesterday, Bernama reported police had arrested a 22-year-old local man believed to be involved in a brawl that happened at 7.38pm.

According to the news agency, the suspect was caught by security guards at the complex for allegedly stealing a mobile phone and handed to the police.

However, the youth later contacted his friends who reacted by heading to the store where the attempted theft allegedly happened and assaulting the shop workers and damaging the store with losses estimated at RM70,000 (S$24,915), Bernama reported.

  • Man Impersonates Policeman To Obtain Contact Details Of Prostitutes

Man Impersonates Policeman To Obtain Contact Details Of Prostitutes

He wanted an excuse to obtain the contact details of prostitutes, and hopefully call them back for cheap sex at a later date.

So Yusri Abdul Wahab, who had dreamed of one day joining law enforcement, decided to impersonate a police officer and conduct checks on sex workers in Geylang.

At about 10pm on May 7 last year, he entered a room in Lorong 22 Geylang containing about 10 prostitutes, flashed a makeshift police pass, and asked to see their work permits. He made a show of checking the documents, all the while speaking into his earpiece and pretending to speak to a “colleague”.

Someone grew suspicious, and called the police.

On Wednesday, he was jailed for four months for the offence. His total term comes to eight months, after including punishment for stealing camera equipment during his real job as a pest control officer.

No restitution has been made for the thefts, which involved almost $32,000 of items and got Yusri sacked. These were committed on four occasions between January and May 8 last year, at two private homes in Swettenham Road near Queenstown.

Yusri came up with the policeman ruse after taking medical leave from his real job.

The court heard he had been inspired by a television show, in which a character had hatched a similar ploy.

To carry out the plan, Yusri bought police paraphernalia from Peninsula Shopping Centre, including a leather pass holder and various logos to attach to his polo t-shirt. He had a photograph of himself taken and inserted it into the pass holder.

District Judge Low Wee Ping called Yusri’s impersonation “shocking”, noting he had gone to the extent of buying items to perpetuate the deception.

Yusri pleaded guilty to three charges in all, with another two taken into consideration. For impersonating a police officer, he could have been jailed for up to two years and fined.

The man who spat at two women at Woodlands bus interchange last October was convicted of five charges on Wednesday after a three-day trial.

Cleaner Juraimi Kamaludin, 48, was found guilty of being a public nuisance; spitting at customer service officer Teoh Lay Peng, 41, once and pushing her out of the front door of SMRT service 950; two counts of spitting at secretary Lee Kuan Eng, 34, for a total of six times last October.

Juraimi, who has criminal records for mainly theft and drug-related offences, will be sentenced on Friday. Deputy Public Prosecutor Francis Zhang Zeyi had sought a total jail term of four months and two weeks for four of the charges, plus the maximum fine of $1,000 for the public nuisance charge.

On Wednesday, District Judge Lim Keng Yeow rejected Juraimi’s defence that he did not push Ms Teoh and that she had run down the bus on her own.
