  • Singaporean Tourist Ignores Locals’ Warnings, Ended Up Bitten By Komodo Dragon

Singaporean Tourist Ignores Locals’ Warnings, Ended Up Bitten By Komodo Dragon

A 50-year-old tourist from Singapore was attacked by a Komodo dragon in West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara, on Wednesday morning.

Lon Lee Alle, who was in the area to visit the Komodo National Park, was severely injured by a bite on his left leg.

According to the park’s head, Sudiyono, Alle was initially watching several Komodos eating pigs and goats belonging to villagers. He approached the animals to take pictures, ignoring locals’ warning that he should not go too close.

“He must have been too close. A Komodo doesn’t like to be disturbed when eating,” Sudiyono told The Jakarta  Post.

Locals immediately helped pull Alle away from the crowd of Komodos and rushed him to the nearby medical center where he got first aid. Alle was then taken to the Siloam General Hospital using a military speed boat.

“This is the first incident of human being bitten by a Komodo dragon in the past five years,” Sudiyono said.

He added that the Singaporean had stayed with locals for three days to save costs.

“The incident took place away from the area set by us where tourists are allowed to observe Komodos. I also appeal to all tourists to take guides with you when wandering around to see Komodo dragons. Never risk your safety by staying with locals and watching Komodos without an official guide only for the sake of your budget,” Sudiyono said.

  • Pasir Ris Neighbour Disputes Account, Provides Own Version Of Story

Pasir Ris Neighbour Disputes Account, Provides Own Version Of Story

STOMP today published a story of an ongoing dispute between two neighbours in Pasir Ris titled, ‘Who needs enemies… when you have neighbours from hell like these?‘. The article quotes a STOMPER living on the 5th floor of Block 628 Pasir Ris saying she has been terrorised by a family living on the same floor.

The neighbour claimed: “They always shout vulgarities, stand outside the corridor, attack/push/hit their neighbours next door.”

Several readers who responded to STOMP’s video on the dispute in their Facebook, pointed out that the video was very one-sided. Facebook user David Lim, who claimed to be the neighbour  described as ‘from hell’ in the article, also responded to the post to tell his side of the story.

  • Malaysians Rejoice Sepang’s Exit From F1, Singapore Continues To Be Ripped Off

Malaysians Rejoice Sepang’s Exit From F1, Singapore Continues To Be Ripped Off

*Go away. We do not need old white men like Ecclestone to rip us off anymore*

At first, I was perhaps 70% supportive of Malaysia dropping Formula One but after hearing what the moronic 86 years old former owner of F1 Bernie Ecclestone said, I am now 150% supportive.

After Najib saw we were losing huge amount of money hosting F1 every year for 17 years, Malaysia decided to drop it from next year on.

Ecclestone then shockingly admitted that F1 had been deliberately over-charging the venues including Malaysia for the rights to host F1 – hence causing them to make losses.

In reply, our Sepang circuit boss Razlan Razali said that Ecclestone lacked respect and made promoters “look like idiots” when Ecclestone said they were deliberately overcharging.

Ecclestone then replied that no one will miss Malaysia’s F1 as they still have Singapore. He then said:

“Nobody made him look stupid, and it’s difficult to make people look stupid. If they are, they are,” and that it is not their fault that the Sepang race cannot make money.

    Well… Fook you, Eccelstone.

We do not need to be deliberately ripped-off by old white men like you and treated with disrespect.

We already have our old ex-PM to rip us off and insult us. We don’t need you, Ecclestone.

No wonder so many famous tracks of the past such as Zolder and Zandvoort, Nürburgring and Brands Hatch had stopped hosting F1.

South Korea even stopped their F1 in 2013 just three years after starting citing high costs.

Even the famous Marseilles Grand Prix was axed for 10 years and will only resume next year.

Therefore, I am now 150% supportive of not getting screwed by white-men, lose a lot of money each year (Forbes estimated the cost to be USD1 billion or RM4.34 billion over 10 years) and to add insult to injury, get insulted further.

Our Prime Minister had made the right decision to drop F1.

Don’t worry. You still have Singapore, right?

    LSS.

Bedok Robber Punched 8-Month Old Pregnant Lady In Stomach After Failed Robbery Attempt

A 42 year old pregnant lady was punched in her stomach by a robber in broad daylight in Bedok as she was taking the lift back home. Last Friday (28 April 2017), the 8 months pregnant lady finished marketing and was on the way home when the robber tailed her into the lift.

The robber waited for the victim to walk out of the lift before tugging at her handbag. Instead of letting go, the pregnant lady held on tight and refused to let go of her wallet and started screaming loudly for help. When he failed to snatch her handbag, the robber was enraged and punched her in the stomach as warning.

Despite the attack, she continued to scream loudly and seeing that he was unable to snatch her bag, the robber ran off hurriedly. Fortunate for the lady, both she and the baby were alright after checkup.

A police report was made at 9pm that night and after reviewing CCTV footage, the police arrested the robber at Tampines MRT the following day. The robber was charged for attempted robbery in Court on 1 May 2017. If convicted he would be sentenced to a minimum of 1 year jail or up to 7 years with rotan caning.
