Gilbert Goh: Join The Income Inequality Forum on 30th May At Bras Basah Complex!

Come and support our Income Inequality forum this coming Saturday 30 May from 230pm to 5pm at 04-41 Bras Basah Complex.

We face a crisis situation now whereby our income growth lags behind that of inflation for the past decade. Our cost of living is also at the world’s highest this year.

More than 200,000 Singaporeans still earn $1000 and below a month putting them very close to the poverty line.

Yet, we have the highest number of millionaires in the world exaceberating the income gap we have between the have’s and the have not’s.

A high income gap not only inhibits social mobility but also encourages social class division and strife.

Come and hear our four keynote speakers Mr Osman Sulaiman, Ms Fatimah Akhtar, Mr Roy Ngerng Yi Ling and Mr Goh Meng Seng expound on the topic with some PMETs giving short accounts of what they face in the job market.

Email [email protected] for a seat.

    Singaporeans supporting Singaporeans.

Goh Meng Seng Registers The People’s Power Party

Former National Solidarity Party secretary-general and opposition politician Goh Meng Seng has registered a new political party named the “People’s Power Party” (PPP) yesterday with an eye on participating in the next general election.

Goh Meng Seng said during an interview with the media that he was disappointed with the current policies implemented by the government, and feels that the government should not always have the final say on public policy in Singapore.

He also said that the PPP would champion a form of democracy based on revolutionary Chinese leader Sun Yat Sen’s theory of democratic government. In Sun’s theory of democracy, government would be divided into five separate branches: the executive, legislative, judicial, the censorate, and the civil service system. The latter two branches primarily functioned as a check on the first three, which are the more familiar branches of government. They are also traditional branches of the Chinese government and functioned independently. The civil service had been around since the Han period and the censorate was created by the Hong Wu emperor at the beginning of the Ming dynasty (1368-1644).

According to Goh, Singaporeans will live better lives only when principles of democracy are upheld in Singapore. He says that the current system which centers political power into the hands of a few key persons is unsustainable.

Goh Meng Seng: What Is Government Doing About PRC Vice Menace?

Caution: The following links are websites that sex peddlers put up to promote commercial prostitution. A FB friend wanted me to post this because he wanted MDA and the relevant authorities like anti-vice unit to take actions against the people behind these websites. The following the message written to me:

The following websites are the PRC prostitutes solicting themselves in Singapore, some operatte from HDB flats, some condos and some landed properties, some work full time using their tourist visa, some are students working part time, some are 陪读妈妈.

i want to ask the relevant authorities including MDA, if solicitng sex service via internet is an offence? Ask the immigration dept if these bitches holding tourist or 陪读妈妈 are allowed to work as prostitutes, worse are those PRC students and employment pass holders who may not be so easily detected working here as prosittues
if these are people who violated our laws, is our “police” going to take action or “close both eyes” and allow them to continue to operate their sex service here?

i want to ask HDB if these kinds of “activities” are allowed? we have sons and daughters studying, some of these bitches are operating in areas where renowned schools are situated.

  • Goh Meng Seng: Backlash – You Reap What You Sow

Goh Meng Seng: Backlash – You Reap What You Sow

There are many people who are so puzzled or even ANGRY against those who “attack” or “criticise” LKY when he is on his death bed. There is basically a war of words between the two camps and even me, was dragged into it, for stating the obvious facts and simple commentary based on these facts. I shall publish my full view later, on what I think of LKY.

But let’s put this clearly. Anyone who wants to be Great Political Leaders and not just any other politician, will have to bear in mind that “Winning” is not everything. You must be prepared to be judged by the mass, historians and history, even after your passing. If you are in politics just for money, those million dollar annual salary, then please make sure you will just be a politician, not some Great Leader.

Great Leaders in ancient times, are all judged by history. The great Qin Emperor 秦始皇 had great achievements beside uniting China thousands of years ago. He had united written text, standardize metrics, standards size of roads, currencies etc etc. However, he is only most remembered as a blood thirsty TYRANT in history who executed or massacred of massive number of peasants. Unfair? That’s World Class Politics. No matter how good you are, how Great you are in many policies and achievements, any missteps or inhumane acts, you will forever remembered by that.

That is why in Ancient Chinese History till now, Great political leaders were very mindful of what they did in their lifetime. They would not go all out to kill or massacred indiscriminately for fear of how History will remember their bad legacy.

Back in Singapore, have you wonder why among all those pioneer political leaders from the White, only LKY created such a huge criticism and attacks on him while he is dying? Not Dr Goh Keng Swee. Not Rajaratnam. This is basically karma. You reap what you sow.

So for aspiring young politicians or future great leaders, please bear this mind. Whatever you do, you will be judged by history and the people, when you die. For those who are unhappy about why people start to criticise LKY at this moment, it is about time to ask, why didn’t anyone attack other PAP pioneer leaders when they died?

Goh Meng Seng: Alternative Media Sites Must Unite To Balance MSM

According to a survey done on the comparative strength and influence of Main Stream Media (MSM) vs New Media (NM which includes blogs, TRS, TRE, TOC and other key sites), the MSM influence in terms of readership has dropped drastically and the readership of NM has shot up with the popular usage of Smart Phones which allow people to read articles from NM much easier than MSM.

The influence of NM and MSM has attained equal status. When the survey asks their interviewees where they get their information and news from, NM and MSM have equal share. This situation poses a tremendous challenge to PAP’s continue dominance of political power. Thus, it is of no surprise that the FIXING of New Media will pick up in momentum as the next General Elections is ticking nearer.

I sincerely hope that all NM like TRE, TRS and TOC will unite and defend this piece of land of Freedom for all Singaporeans. Without the balancing influence of NM, it will be almost impossible for Singapore to advance the dream of building a more democratic system. Hold on there, TRS! Hold on there, TOC!
