    Help Share: Black And White Wallet Found At Geylang Serai Bazaar @ Flying Noodle Stall

    PLEASE DO HELP TO SHARE AROUND.

    A small black n white purse containing some money have been accidentally left at our booth on 11/06/17
    We are looking for a lady wearing a black dress n blue hijab that came to our booth around 7.30-8.00pm. There are no identification,bank card or photos inside making it difficult for us to locate her.

    While waiting for the food to be ready we had a small talk n the only info that we have is that she is working at Marsiling.(She might have been busy taking selfie with our flying noodle that she had forgotten about the purse left on our counter.)

    Please do help to share around for us to reach out to her.

    Wanita Biasa Beri Sumbangan Luar Biasa

    Dalam mengimbangi peranan mereka yang pelbagai, kaum wanita hari ini masih mampu membuat sumbangan bukan sahaja kepada keluarga, bahkan kepada masyarakat.

    Sebagai menghargai usaha wanita yang tidak pernah lelah berbakti meskipun ada kalanya dihimpit masalah peribadi sendiri, Speaker Parlimen Halimah Yaacob telah menyampaikan empat Anugerah Wanita Paling Cemerlang, di Kelab Masyarakat Marsiling semalam.

    Anugerah yang diperkenalkan buat kali pertama atas saranan Cik Halimah sendiri itu bertujuan mengiktiraf wanita biasa yang memberi sumbangan luar biasa kepada masyarakat di kawasan Marsiling.

    Cik Halimah, yang juga Anggota Parlimen (AP) Marsiling-Yew Tee, menyampaikan anugerah itu dalam satu majlis bagi meraikan Hari Wanita Antarabangsa anjuran Kumpulan Wanita Marsiling.

    Menurutnya, anugerah tersebut amat bertepatan kerana penerima boleh dijadikan contoh baik kepada masyarakat agar sama-sama terdorong untuk berbakti.

    “Melihat keikhlasan, kesungguhan dan komitmen penerima, saya harap ia akan menjadi pembakar semangat kepada yang lain untuk menyumbang kepada masyarakat,” ujarnya.

    Menyentuh tentang usia penerimanya yang rata-ratanya melebihi usia 60 tahun, Cik Halimah berharap ia dapat memberi motivasi kepada golongan muda untuk berbakti.

    Antara penerima termasuk ibu tunggal Cik Jainah Awang, 67 tahun, yang sering memasak untuk penduduk yang tinggal di Blok 3 dan 4 Marsiling Road.

    Setiap Jumaat, beliau dan beberapa sukarelawan lain akan menyediakan makanan seperti lontong dan nasi lemak di kolong Blok 4 Marsiling sebelum mengagihkannya kepada penduduk memerlukan, termasuk warga senja yang tinggal bersendirian.

    “Saya terharu dipilih bagi anugerah ini. Saya bersyukur kerana selepas melibatkan diri dalam kerja sukarela ini, hidup saya lebih tenang.

    “Saya tidak lagi merenung mengenang nasib, sebaliknya berasa gembira dapat membantu warga senja pelbagai bangsa dan latar belakang,” ujarnya yang turut menjaga anak bongsunya, 37 tahun seorang anak istimewa.

    Selain Cik Jainah, pemenang lain termasuk Cik Hajira Bee Idroos; 62 tahun, Cik Tng Noi Kee; 76 tahun dan Cik Chong Kiaw; 79 tahun.

    Sementara itu, Cik Halimah juga mengongsi bahawa pihaknya sedang meninjau cara untuk membantu golongan ibu tunggal di kawasan Marsiling.

    Ini termasuk memadankan mereka dengan kursus yang sesuai selain meletakkan anak mereka dalam program tuisyen percuma.

    “Cabaran sebagai ibu tunggal memang pelbagai. Selain masalah kewangan dan membesarkan anak seorang diri, golongan ini juga memerlukan rangkaian sokongan yang kukuh,” ujarnya lagi.

    Look Out For Motorcycle Cashcard Thief In Marsiling

    Reaching out to all marsiling motorcyclists…This guy in the picture(in black) will walk around marsiling carparks in search of cashcards.

    On 28th july 2015 at around 0020hrs, saw this guy walking around motorbikes and opening up the iu cover. Upon seeing me he hurried away. I always cover my bike and on a few occasions, reach my bike to see the canvas being flip up and my iu cover opened.

    Happen to see him again few days later, only manage to get his picture from the back. And he walks with a limp.

    So guys please help keep a look out and if you see him at your motorbikes, you know what he is up to.

    71 Year Old Woman Leg Stuck Between Bus Doors At Marsiling, Injured After Being Dragged

    71-year-old Madam Ang Kim Seng was alighting from SMRT bus 903 when her right leg got stuck between the doors and was subsequently dragged along the road.

    This incident occurred on Mar 18, at about 8.45am, when she was alighting from a bus stop near Block 23 Marsiling Drive, according to Shin Min Daily News.

    Madam Ang recounted in an interview with the Chinese newspaper:

    “I was the only one to alight at that time.

    “I pressed the bell, the bus reached my stop, and I tapped my EZ-link.”

    She stretched her right leg out to step out of the bus, and before her leg touched the ground, the bus doors closed.

    “I lost my balance and fell backwards. The bus started moving off.

    “I immediately shouted loudly for help.”

    She was inside the bus, but the bus doors had closed on her right leg and it was being dragged outside.

    A passenger who was also on the bus at that time said, “The bus drove for about 1-metre before it stopped. Many people were crowding near the door.”

    Blood could be spotted flowing non-stop from the elderly woman’s 10-cm long gash.

    Madam Ang sustained injuries to her right foot, right elbow, and head.

    She was sent to Khoo Teck Puat hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery.

    Her daughter shared, “My mother’s wound has an infection.

    “She’s currently being monitored by the hospital, and might need to undergo a skin graft to cover up the wound.”

    44 Year old Man Molest Woman on Public Bus

    SINGAPORE: A 44-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty on board a public bus.

    A 25-year-old woman lodged a police report on Sep 19, saying that she had been molested on a public bus near Marsiling on Aug 31. The suspect was eventually arrested in the vicinity of Khatib on Tuesday (Sep 23) at about 10am, the police said in a statement on Wednesday.

    Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is also believed to be involved in a similar case of outrage of modesty that took place on Monday, the police said.

    The man will be charged in court on Thursday. If convicted, he may be jailed up to two years, or fined, and caned.

    The police advised members of the public to stay calm when they encounter such crimes while travelling on public transport. They should call 999 immediately, inform the bus or train captain or seek help from other commuters immediately to report the matter.
