Of The 3 Insults In Reserved PE For Malays, The Biggest Is That Candidates Have No Malay Written In Their NRIC

After being insulted by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong by having the coming Presidential Election reserved for them, the Malay community might be further insulted with the Election Commission allowing the contests of Farid Khan and Salleh Marican – both which do not meet the financial requirements.

The first insult came from reserving the Presidency election. The Chinese and Indians were made to feel ashamed for being “racists” for their tendency to vote for their own race in a state media survey – a guilt trap designed by the Prime Minister. Worst, Malay Singaporeans are relegated to be politically “unpopular”, and seen as not being able to win an election on their own, no thanks to the Prime Minister.

The new Constitution written by the dictator Prime Minister stated that one must be an executive who have led a company of S$500 million shareholder equity, or having held one of the few top posts in the government. Halimah Yacob automatically qualifies without any other requirement, according to the Lee Hsien Loong-edited Constitution. However, the other two businessmen will need the Election Department to lower the standards for them to qualify – a double insult to the Malay race after the reserving of the election.

The third insult came from the blatant disregard for the Malay race. Halimah Yacob is Indian, it says so on her NRIC identity card. Neither are the other two candidates who also have Indian fathers, have “Malay” written on their NRIC. The three as are in fact “minority” race to be precise, “Indian” by hereditary and nowhere “Malay”. Lee Hsien Loong bent the rules further by defining a Malay as “someone who is a Muslim belonging to the Malay community”. Halimah Yacob refuse to acknowledge in public that her father is Indian, implying that her heritage is something she is ashamed of. The PAP MP went all out calling herself a bona fide Malay, where the Election Department gladly accepts.

How much more concessions, or more insults, will the Malay race need for this farce of an election to appoint a puppet president for Lee Hsien Loong?

  • NS Recruits’ Photos And NRIC Numbers Posted Online In BMTC Slip-up

NS Recruits’ Photos And NRIC Numbers Posted Online In BMTC Slip-up

The latest cohort of National Service (NS) recruits who completed their basic military training over the weekend had their NRIC numbers and pictures published online for a day, before authorities realised the mistake and took down the materials.

The incident happened about a month after a cyber attack on an Internet access system used at military premises caused an unprecedented theft of the personal data of 850 national servicemen and Ministry of Defence (Mindef) employees.

In the latest case, the recruits’ NRIC numbers were emblazoned under their personal portraits that were uploaded onto Facebook last Saturday by the Basic Military Training Centre (BMTC) — a practice to allow servicemen to share the photographs with their family and friends.

Apologising for the “mistake”, BMTC commander Colonel Desmond Yeo said these portraits were taken down by noon the following day “when the oversight was realised”.

He was responding to a reader who wrote in to TODAY’s Voices section to highlight the incident.

Col Yeo did not specify the number of recruits affected, but there are a few thousand recruits in each graduating cohort.

The soft copy portraits of recruits are uploaded online to make the BMT graduation parade a “memorable and meaningful event”, said Col Yeo.

Recruits have also “warmly received” the practice, he added.

In the past, the portraits were manually labelled with a recruit’s platoon, section and bed number, for example.

To speed up the process, the BMTC used a new system for the most recent graduating cohort of recruits.

The labels were automatically generated by scanning the recruits’ Singapore Armed Forces identity cards.

“This resulted in the portraits being labelled by NRIC numbers. No other personal data was released,” said Col Yeo.

“BMTC recognises that making available our recruits’ portraits, labelled together with their NRIC numbers on a platform accessible to the general public, was an oversight. We apologise for the mistake.”

Col Yeo also said the BMTC is reviewing its procedures to prevent a similar recurrence.

A recruit from the affected cohort, who wanted to be known only as Mr Lim, 18, was not aware of the BMTC’s slip-up.

Asked if the leak of personal information was a concern, he said: “Even if it was a mistake, I would assume they’d be able to deal with whatever happens, and if I’ve any concerns, I should be able to approach them and they’d have a proper solution.”

Early last month, a cyber attack on I-net, the system used at military premises to access the Internet, resulted in the theft of the personal data of about 850 national servicemen and Mindef employees, including their NRIC numbers, telephone numbers, and dates of birth.

Classified military information was not compromised in that unprecedented breach — described by Mindef as appearing to be “targeted and carefully planned” — as that is stored on a separate and more secure system which is not connected to the World Wide Web.

Mindef said it disconnected the affected server after the breach was discovered and carried out immediate and detailed forensic investigations.

  • Wajib Daftar Semula NRIC Apabila Cecah Usia 55 Tahun Mulai Januari Depan

Wajib Daftar Semula NRIC Apabila Cecah Usia 55 Tahun Mulai Januari Depan

  • CPF Board’s Inconsistency On Naming Convention Unnecessarily Penalises Public

CPF Board’s Inconsistency On Naming Convention Unnecessarily Penalises Public

    Dear CPF Board

When my late Dad passed away in 2014, u sent me a notification on the arrangements of his $$$.

My online claim was rejected and delayed by months just because i submitted my name wf a BINTE instead of BTE as in NRIC. When i made the necessary call to explain that BINTE is also BTE, yr officer insisted that all legal issues shd be as in NRIC. Ok fine….

My eldest girl who has just started teaching, earned her 1st CPF recently. I am asking you now. Why on earth is her name spelt just as “S Aniqah Bt Z Ariffin”? Shouldnt her name be “Syafiah Aniqah Binte Zainal Ariffin” as in her LEGAL SINGAPORE NRIC???

What made u right to change her name?? I believe most Sporeans know Bte=Binte BUT nobody will know what that S meant for my girl’s name!!
    S=Siti? S=Sharifah? S=Sexy?
    Her BT= Bukit Timah?
    Z=Zorro?

Pls do not gv a template reply that my girl’s name is too long. I have checked wf a Chinese fren bfr i put this up. Her name is “H******** A*** K*** W**** and u have it perfectly fine.

    Do u change a “Tan Ah Teck” into a “T Ah Teck” ??? T=T-rex? T=Transformers?

I am verrrrrry upset that the Board is doing this cos i painfully rmmbr how it was when you all made me apply all over again fr my late Dad’s CPF thingy.

What will my girl go thru in future if i choose to keep mum abt this now?? Wouldn she face a prob to claim $$$ when im gone??

Who are you all to change her name as in NRIC when it comes to legal issues?? We are NOT talking abt a nickname in FB or what.. we are talking abt HER MONEY deducted fm her salary !! It is HER rights !!

If you think this is a petty issue, look back into yr files on how you rejected my name when BINTE was written instead of BTE… NOW, my girl’s name is TOTALLY changed..

See you when i step in your office. You’re wasting anthr day of my leave just like when you all did last year..

    Siti Norsheila BTE Mohamed
    (As in NRIC)
