    Poly Student Found Guilty Of Taking 170 Upskirt Photos, Videos Of Women

    An 18-year-old polytechnic student was convicted today for taking more than 170 upskirt photos and videos of women.

    A total of 173 photos and six videos were found in Clemence Koh’s mobile phone and laptop. The offences date as far back as Dec 17 last year.

    Koh would approach his victims in an attempt to take photos from underneath their dresses or would squat down to take them if he felt it was safe to do so.

    He took these photos and videos in public places such as Daiso outlets and Popular bookstores.

    His actions went undetected until Jan 30 this year, when he tried to film a woman from the cubicle of a public female toilet.

    Koh went to the third floor ladies’ toilet at Pearl Centre, entered the second cubicle and switched on the camera function of his phone.

    After the victim entered the cubicle next to him, Koh slid his handphone under the cubicle partition and attempted to take a photo.

    The victim spotted the phone, shouted and left the toilet. She immediately called the police.

    Koh was arrested when the police arrived.

    In mitigation, Koh’s lawyer said it was his first brush with the law and that he was remorseful. He also said that Koh was a good student and had the potential to reform.

    He was charged with 62 counts of insulting the modesty of the women he filmed. Six of the charges were proceeded with.

    He will be sentenced on July 6.

    For each charge, he could be jailed for up to one year, fined or both.

    Indonesian PhD Student Convicted For Outrage Of Modesty

    An Indonesian PhD student was convicted on Tuesday of outraging a woman’s modesty on an MRT train.

    Irfan Syanjaya, 26, had been taking the train from Buona Vista to Jurong East on Aug 12 last year, when he deliberately stood close behind the 20-year-old student to do so.

    He was sentenced to six weeks’ jail following a two-day trial.

    The court heard that although the train was crowded at first as it was the evening peak period, it grew more empty after leaving Dover station. Nevertheless, Irfan continued to stand close to the victim even though there was space to move away.

    She confronted Irfan, who apologised. Other commuters came forward to help and he was detained by security officers at Jurong East MRT.

    During the trial, Irfan, who was unrepresented, maintained that he had touched the victim accidentally.

    He had admitted during police investigations earlier to intentionally touching her, but denied this in court.

    When asked why he kept standing so close to her, he said through a translator: “She seemed to have no negative thoughts about me so I did not move away.

    “I assumed she had no problem about me standing where I was.”

    Three witnesses who had been in the same carriage testified that they had seen Irfan make deliberate contact with the victim, even after she tried to avoid him.

    One, Ms Nur Sharida Md Farok, said Irfan was standing close enough to whisper into her ear.

    Another, Mr Johan Tay, said it was obvious that he had been inching towards the victim. He said he had tried to stop it from happening by putting his bag in between Irfan and the victim, but that Irfan had persisted.

    At the time, Irfan was doing a PhD in electrical and computer engineering at the National University of Singapore.

    For using criminal force to outrage the victim’s modesty, Irfan could have been jailed for up to two years, fined, caned, or any combination of the three.

    Indian Construction Worker Jailed For Molesting 12 Year Old Boy

    A construction worker who molested a 12-year-old boy in a public toilet was jailed for six months on Wednesday.

    Indian national Ravikumar Sathish, 20, admitted using criminal force to outrage the youngster’s modesty at a male toilet in Tampines Mall on March 2.

    A court heard that the boy had been having dinner with his mother when he went to use the loo.

    As he walked out, Sathish bumped into him and grabbed his private parts.

    Full-Time NSman Jailed 19 Weeks For Filming Upskirt Videos of Unsuspecting Victims

    A full-time national serviceman who committed 19 “upskirt” offences, mostly at MRT stations, was jailed for nine weeks on Wednesday.

    Muhammad Raimi Kadir, 21, admitted seven of 19 charges of intruding women’s privacy by secretly filming them between November 2012 and September last year.

    Deputy Public Prosecutor James Chew told the court that once Raimi spotted a woman with a short skirt, he would follow her from behind until they reached the escalator.

    He would stand behind the victim, switch on his camera then place it under her skirt to capture a recording or photograph of her thighs and underwear.

    As well as MRT stations such as Bugis, Lorong Chuan, MacPherson and Tanah Merah, Raimi also committed the offence at ITE College Central in Ang Mo Kio.

    He was arrested by two officers near Bugis MRT station on Sept 8 last year for behaving suspiciously.

    Raimi had earlier taken an eight-second upskirt video recording of a woman at Bugis+ mall while standing behind her on the escalator.

    The cops found similar videos and photographs stored in his camera and took him to the station for investigation.

    Twenty days later, Clementi police officers saw Raimi behaving suspiciously in front of Clementi Mall and approached him. He fled but they managed to detain him.

    Upskirt photographs and a video were found in the electronic gadgets he was carrying.

    Police searched his home and seized several electronic items containing offending material.

    Pleading for a lighter sentence, Raimi said in mitigation that he committed the offences in a moment of folly. He realised his mistakes and promised to turn over a new leaf.

    He could have been jailed for up to one year and/or fined for each count of insulting modesty.

    Rilek1Corner received a tip-off from a reader regarding the youth molester caught on video camera which was taken by the victim herself. The incident  happened in the MRT train last year. The reader who wants to be known as ‘Miss Sixty’ happens to be in the same ITE as the youth molester. Miss Sixty shared that the molester has a Facebook account ‘Lim Boon Loong aka Boi Boi‘.

    Miss Sixty also informed Rilek1Corner that BoiBoi now has a girlfriend named ‘Jin Hui‘.

    As seen in the series of photos above, both BoiBoi and Jin Hui took affectionate and intimate photos together.
