  • Beware! Do Not Hire This Filipino Maid Who Stole From Employer

Beware! Do Not Hire This Filipino Maid Who Stole From Employer

    <Complaint by Michelle Yu-Tan>

Dear all, this was my previous helper here in Singapore. Her name is Laurence Angela Lardizabal Soria and might go for the last name Perez. I would just like to make a public note that we had already sent her back home to the Philippines after 3 offenses of lying and stealing from us.

She is from Batangas San Jose. After giving her a chance the first and second time round, the last offence she commited was stealing money from my wallet. Although she already confessed for taking the money when confronted before sending her back, we were surprised that no apologies was even said.

Please be aware of who she really is and if you happen to know someone who would think of hiring her, think again. If you have valuables, it will disappear.

Please do me a favour to share this and spread it out so it may reach everywhere in the world. Who knows, her next destination might be in your country.

  • Pinoy & Indian FT Couple “Heartbroken” After Being Denied PR

Pinoy & Indian FT Couple “Heartbroken” After Being Denied PR

    Hi

I am a Filipina EP holder working in Singapore as purchasing manager salary SGD $4,800.00/ married to an Indian guy who is S-Pass operation manager salary SGD $4000.00/ both working in Singapore for almost 8 years.

We have 1 child who is currently in Singapore.

We just got our rejection letter for PR yesterday. After 3 months and 10 days.

It is really heart-breaking as we are both looking forward for the future of our child here in Singapore.

Sadly in the rejection letter, it was not stated that we can apply again – only that we can continue to reside with our current passes.

We are serving the community since 2007 as RED CROSS VOLUNTEERS etc as we both love doing and helping others.

    No criminal record.

Why are we being denied the chance to become PRs?

  • Filipino PR And Full-Time NSman Sent To Reformative Training For Sex With Underage Girls

Filipino PR And Full-Time NSman Sent To Reformative Training For Sex With Underage Girls

A full-time national serviceman who had sex with a girl under 16 years old while on probation for similar offences was sentenced to reformative training on Monday.

Gil Dominic Barbosa Rojas, 20, a Singapore permanent resident, had admitted to two counts of having sex with a 15-year-old girl on April 1 and 8 this year, and with a 13-year-old girl sometime between January and February last year.

A Community Court heard last month that Rojas, a Filipino, came to know the 15-year-old girl on Facebook in June last year. They exchanged contact numbers and started to communicate over the phone.

They eventually met at his home at Anchorvale Road on April 1. He asked her to be his girlfriend, to which she agreed.

They had consensual and unprotected sex in his bedroom.

A week later, she did not go to school and instead, met Rojas at his home. They had sex again.

The victim’s mother was checking her Facebook account when she saw Rojas’ messages to her and began questioning her. The victim then admitted that she had sex with Rojas.

The mother lodged a police report on April 15.

Further investigation showed that Rojas and the second victim, then 13, befriended each other through a WhatsApp group chat. They entered into a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship the same month.

Subsequently, he brought her to his home, where he had unprotected sex with her. He was then 18.

Rojas was placed on 24 months’ split probation in October last year after pleading guilty to three underage sex offences and one of committing an indecent act.

For the latest cases, a progress report stated that Rojas lacked remorse, has a high risk of offending, and requires supervision in a closed and structured environment.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Krystle Chiang said Rojas had justified his offences by saying the victims told him they were of legal age, that is, 16 years.

District Judge Lim Keng Yeow said despite having faced 16 charges previously and placed on probation, it was clear from Rojas’ conduct that he was not suitable for probation but needed a different form of rehabilitation. He sentenced him to a stint in the Reformative Training Centre (RTC).

Those serving time in RTC stay between 18 months and three years behind bars, and undergo a strict regimen that includes foot drills and counselling.

  • Pinoy Maid’s Throat Sliced By Foreign Boyfriend In Horror Attack

Pinoy Maid’s Throat Sliced By Foreign Boyfriend In Horror Attack

A maid was slashed on the throat on Sunday by a man her alleged to be her ex-boyfriend in what is believed to be a crime of passion.

Ms Allen Remedios, 38, was returning home to Block 311, Tampines Street 33, when the man stopped her, took out a 15cm paper cutter and slashed her throat, wrist and palm.

After he fled, she stumbled up the stairs to the second-storey flat, leaving a trail of blood.

Another maid working for the same employer said she heard the door bell ring at about 6.30pm and was horrified to see Ms Remedios drenched in blood when she opened the door.

“She was standing there with blood all over her.

“The cut on her left hand was very deep, and blood was gushing out of her throat,” the maid, who wanted to be known only as Ms Rose, 25, told The New Paper yesterday.

“She said, ‘Sister, call boss’, and I shouted for our employer, who came running out.”

By the time their employer, Mr Jose Mari Camacho, 40, rushed out of a room, Ms Remedios had slumped to the floor.

The planning manager said: “I was shocked. I immediately grabbed a towel and told Rose to apply pressure on the injuries and called the police.

“I then ran out of the flat to find out who had done this to her.”

When he could not find the attacker, he went back to attend to Ms Remedios.

“She was still conscious and bleeding heavily. It was a very deep cut and I could see her trachea (windpipe) coming out from her throat, where blood was spurting out of,” Mr Camacho said.

Her wrist and thumb had deep cuts and her finger and wrist were also almost severed.

She was taken to hospital and is in stable condition, though she is still unable to speak.

The police have classified it as a case of voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous means and the attacker is still at large.

Pinoy: Why MOM Keeps Rejecting My Employment Pass Applications

Editor’s Note: A.S.S. receives plenty of odd requests from our readers. Readers have asked for advice on divorces, relationships, courting and clubbing, best makan places and even job recommendations. Although we do not publish all our readers’ requests, we felt you guys might be interested to read this message from a desperate Filipino, who asked us to help him secure an employment pass to work in Singapore.
For the record, A.S.S. does not have any power to influence S/E pass applications with the Ministry of Manpower. If we did, there would probably be more jobless foreigners going back to their countries. LOL!
