Go Ahead Bus Driver So Rude When I Asked Him When His Bus Will Move Off

    Dear Editors

This is the bus driver on bus 36. I boarded at Changi Airport terminal 2, asking what time will the bus move out (as bus 36 is a loop service, it tends to wait at Changi Airport terminal 2 for awhile before moving).

This driver starts to say: ‘who are u to care, can’t u see that the bus is already started? Who are u to care what time I move out!’ In a rude manner and mocked at me for being ‘kpo’.

That explains why he’s laughing in the photo. Seriously, is being rude the new black?

  • Mr Teh Tarik (Khatib) Staff Engage In Heated Argument Then Throws Customer’s Drink

Mr Teh Tarik (Khatib) Staff Engage In Heated Argument Then Throws Customer’s Drink

Most Singaporean know of Mr Teh Tarik and it is one of the usual go-to place for families and friends to come together and bersembang. But what happens when we hear of someone who frequent the place, treated with a distasteful experience? Quite disappointing..

    From a FB post:

I dont usually waste my time to post any complains online but the incident which happened earlier was over the limit and I just feel the need to do this. On 30/01/2017 at about 9pm, I went to Mr Teh Tarik@ Khatib as my sick wife was craving for the ban mian there. So while she was queueing to order her food, i went over to the drink stall and join in the queue to a drink for my wife. When it was my turn, conversation with the BLACK SHIRT STAFF went like this:

Me: bang, teh o ais satu.

(He then started making my drink)

When the drink was ready, he placed the cup on the counter and then he turn to his cashier system to key my order. Noticing that there was no cover for the drink, i politely requested in malay:

Me: Bang, die nye cover ade bang ?

Staff: Cover? Ni nak minum sini ke nak take away?

    Me: take away bang.

Staff: Ohhhhh take away ehhh. Cakap la lain kali (with a smirk on his face and in a very very sarcastic tone)

    Me: aah bang take away.

Staff: (while taking the cover and covering my cup) Ohhhh take away. Lain kali cakap la take away ke, minum sini ke, DRIVE THROUGH KE. (He raised his voice)

Me: knape bang? Saya mintak cover jek bang, lagi pon abg pon tak tanye pe nak minum sini ke take away. (Both started to raise voices)

The next minute, he took my cup which was on the counter, turn to his right and tossed my drink into the sink and told me to get lost and immediately asked for the next customer’s order!!!!!! WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS ?!?!?!?!

Look at the picture and you can see that the bin is nearer to him but he managed to toss it into the sink instead !!!! I strongly feel that such behaviour is very inappropriate !!!!! If its just verbal argument i would have probably just forget about it but he threw away my drink while i was handing over to him my money !!!!

From the picture also, i can see that there are cameras overlooking the counter. I hope the management will view the footage and look into this matter seriously !! I believe the customers queueing behind me and his partner wearing the grey tshirt witnessed the incident as well !!!

I LOVE THE FOOD THERE AND I ALWAYS GO TO MR TEH TARIK KHATIB BRANCH BUT WITH SUCH POOR ATTITUDE STAFF AROUND, I WILL NEVER PATRONISE THIS BRANCH AGAIN.

Kids Amaze In Jurong Accidentally Leaks Rude Email About Parent Of Injured Child

A reader has sent us screenshots of an email sent by a staff at Kids Amaze, a commercial children’s playground located at SAFRA Jurong. According to our reader, a young mother had brought her child to the playground when the child accidentally cut himself on some loose cable ties, which required him to go to the doctor for stitches. The mother then requested Kids Amaze take responsibility for the incident.
However, the young mother later received an unintentionally leaked internal company email from a Kids Amaze staff which accused the parent of being demanding and unreasonable. The staff also disclaimed all responsibility for the accident and recommended that the company not pay for any subsequent medical fees incurred because of the child’s injury.
Read the mother’s post and the emails here.
“So internal email was accidentally sent to me… So friends… Please be aware… If there’s no blood at the incident then I really don’t know what is cutting my son’s forehead such that a surgical glue is required to close up the wound… she admitted to me that after I wrote in to them.. They did a check and remove all the loose cable ties…
It is very obvious that she doesn’t know that in situation like this…. doc will always ask for a follow up to ensure that the wound is close up…. so she thinks I’m so free to bring him to the hospital for review. …
So I shouldn’t “think” KA should be responsible. …. It’s my foul luck that that my son isinjuried in a kids indoor playground ….. seriously I don’t need that compensation anymore…. I have gain enough seeing the ugly face of this organisation

  • Customer Gets Shouted At And Throwned Out by Crazed Grabcar Driver

Customer Gets Shouted At And Throwned Out by Crazed Grabcar Driver

So I booked this GRABCAR SFY7104K about 4am this morning to go home because my gf told me there’s some SG50 promo. For those of you who’ve used this, you would know it shows a green check and “Enjoy $5 off your ride” once you enter the code. Well, I waited, what was supposed to be “5min” but kept changing and extending, because this Winson Tong Kar San took God knows what kinda route from Kallang to Ubi.

After boarding the cab for about 5min, or when we found ourselves in KPE, this a*hole started a conversation with me asking if I’d gotten the sms for the promo. I told him as a matter-of-fact-ly I didn’t. Then he said “oh then I would have to charge you full fare” and I said he couldn’t because it showed on my app that I’ve entered the code. He goes on saying that this was “instructed by his company” and “will give me a CHOICE – either i pay full fare or he drops me off”, raising his voice at me this whole time. I replied, “in the middle of KPE?? and after me waiting so long for you? couldn’t you have asked me this the moment I boarded? what kind of choice is this?”.

So, in midst of us arguing over this, he got us out of KPE AND STOPPED BY THE SIDE OF GEYLANG, telling me to get off. I refused and said I would call the police if he dropped me off there (Note: for those of you who don’t know the gravity of the matter, Geylang is NOT the place for a girl to be by the side of the road esp at those hours). He just continued shouting at me so I dialled for the police. I believe the person who picked my call up recorded his shouts in the background as I was making this report. At this point, he gets off his car SHOUTING PROFANITIES and walked to my passenger door, flinging it open. I was pretty sure if I wasn’t on the phone with the Police, he would have dragged me out (body language is a big tell).

While waiting for the Police to arrive, he went on hurling more insults and threats in both English and Hokkien such as calling me names (obscenities and not), insinuating I didn’t have money to pay and claiming he isn’t scared of me and would “play” with me because he’s got time. Also, he let slipped that HE’D SEEN THE PROMO CODE WAS ENTERED. Most of these I recorded on my phone.

Lo and behold, when the Police came, this a*hole cuts in front of me, acted all meek and good citizen, claiming to them he’d told me nicely to get off because I COULDN’T PROVE I’D THE PROMO SMS but I refused. Thankfully I’d recorded how and what he was yelling at me and not look like a total bitch, trying to turn the tables. To be honest, I was actually amused at how different he acted in mere seconds and regretted not video-ing the WHOLE incident. To top it off, he actually thanked the Police profusely when the matter was “concluded” at that spot. *rolls eyes* Talk about “bullying the weak”, or trying to.

I’ve been calling GrabTaxi’s hotline wanting to lodge a complaint about this guy’s attitude and how he’s repeatedly COMPROMISED MY SAFETY. Guess what? Nobody ever picks up the call. This is no wonder why this a*hole isn’t worried about being rude to his passengers. I’d written a “very bad” experience review for him and an email was sent to me claiming a customer service officer will get in touch with me, but, nope.

IMO, if GrabTaxi cannot handle the volume it’s generating with a promo IN LINE WITH SG’S BIG CELEBRATION, jamming its systems and causing such technical glitches which result in the inconveniences to both its passengers and drivers, then don’t even try.

  • PAP MP Edwin Tong Raised His Voice At Volunteers For Being Slow To Serve Him

PAP MP Edwin Tong Raised His Voice At Volunteers For Being Slow To Serve Him

    Dear Editors,

I was working at the SG vs Phillipines game last night at Jalan Besar Stadium. As usual the crowd will queue up to enter the stadium once the gates opens.

As this is the first match played at JBS, there was a queue forming at the security check point.

Most of you probably do not know that all our MPs and their spouses are given access to all games venues and they are allowed to enter the venues even if the tickets are sold out.

So Mr Edwin Tong of Moulmein-Kallang GRC turned up at my queue and he was clearly unhappy that he being a “VIP” was being made to wait in the queue. So he started raising his voice at me as well as those student volunteers doing the ticket scanning. His complaints were “no proper signage around the stadium”, “made me wait so long”, “how you all organize the games”.

I am clearly disappointed that he being a MP, could not even stand in line and queue with the ordinary citizens who voted him into the parliament.

After he left, the student volunteers asked me who is that fellow. I told them he is an MP and they were shocked. They asked me how come our MP is so uncivilized. My reply to them is our dear Mr Tong is only human. Maybe he had a busy day yesterday and lost his cool. But I am still very disappointed with his behaviour. This is totally uncalled for.

    Regards,
    Shawn Quek
