    Islamic State Calls For Attacks On West, Russia, Middle East, Asia, During Ramadan

    CAIRO – An audio message purporting to come from the spokesman of Islamic State called on followers to launch attacks in the United States, Europe, Russia, Australia, Iraq, Syria, Iran, and the Philippines during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, which began in late May.

    The audio clip was distributed on Monday on Islamic State’s channel on Telegram, an encrypted messaging application. It was attributed to the militant group’s official spokesman, Abi al-Hassan al-Muhajer.

    The authenticity of the recording could not be independently verified, but the voice was the same as a previous audio message purported to be from the spokesman.

    “O lions of Mosul, Raqqa, and Tal Afar, God bless those pure arms and bright faces, charge against the rejectionists and the apostates and fight them with the strength of one man,” said al-Muhajer. Rejectionist is a derogatory term used to refer to Shi’ite Muslims.

    “To the brethren of faith and belief in Europe, America, Russia, Australia, and others. Your brothers in your land have done well so take them as role models and do as they have done.”

    At Least 19 Dead In Bomb Attack At Ariana Grande Concert In Manchester Arena

    Officials report 19 are dead and 50 injured following explosions at Manchester Arena where an Ariana Grande concert was held on Monday night (May 22).

    Greater Manchester Police released the figure less than three hours after explosions were first reported on the scene.

    NBC reports “Multiple U.S. officials say U.K. authorities suspect Manchester incident was conducted by a suicide bomber.” CBS has also reported that the explosions contained nails.

    Billboard has confirmed Grande is “okay” with the singer’s rep and that her team is further investigating what happened.

    According to British Transport Police, an explosion took place within the Manchester Arena’s foyer area at 10:30 p.m. local time. The foyer area is connected to the Manchester Victoria station adjacent to the venue and contains the arena’s box office, as well as a McDonald’s. Manchester Victoria station is Manchester’s second largest train station.

    The explosion took place shortly after Grande finished her concert as fans exited the arena.

    Speaking with Billboard, an eye witness recalled hearing a large bang outside the arena and then the PA speaker system announcing to evacuate and everyone screaming and running chaotically out of the arena. She said she saw people covered in blood as she left.

    Greater Manchester is the United Kingdom’s second-most populous urban area with a population of 2.55 million.

    Terrorist Attack On Mosque – Canadian Prime Minister Courageous, Should Be Emulated By Other Leaders

    Canadian PM, Justin Trudeau, called the shootings on the Quebec mosque as a terrorist attack on Muslims. There have been many attacks on innocent and defenceless Muslims around the world but this is the first time that a PM of a country has actually publicly condemned the acts as acts of terror.

    It takes a lot of courage for a leader to do this because of the potential political backlash from the majority of their countries.

    But the Canadian PM was brave. What he has done is show that Muslims also suffer from terrorist attacks.

    Unlike Donald Trump who has chosen the easiest and misguided ways to combat crime and terrorism simply by isolating the US and marginalising minority and migrant communities, Justin Trudeau has taken the enlightened, inclusive route.

    The rest of the world should learn this lesson from Trudeau.

    Halimah Yacob: Build Community Ties To Guard Against Terror

    Incidents like the terrorist attack on a Christmas market in Berlin show that Singapore cannot be complacent, said Speaker of Parliament Halimah Yacob yesterday.

    Building strong community ties is important to guard against such tragedies, she added.

    “Before we ever reach such a situation, if we do, we must be sure that we build a very strong foundation,” she said.

    Twelve people were killed in Monday’s attack – for which the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria terror group claimed responsibility – when a truck was driven into a Christmas market.

    “It is really, really sad, and it is really not reflective of what Islam is all about,” said Madam Halimah.

    She was replying to a question from the media at Toys Carnival @ Marsiling, a Christmas celebration for needy children from Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC, where she is a grassroots adviser.

    It was the second time this year that a truck was used as a terrorist weapon targeting large crowds.

    On July 14, 86 people were killed after they were run over by a truck in Nice on Bastille Day, the French national holiday.

    Madam Halimah said events such as Toys Carnival @ Marsiling, in which families of all races take part, are key to fostering ties. “These are the platforms that we must consciously create to develop strong community bonding… It is not possible to legislate harmony, but we can build harmony.”

    Now in its second year, the annual event brought festive cheer to around 150 children on the morning of Christmas Eve.

    There’s a new definition for the term ‘terrorism’ and ‘terrorists’:

    Terrorism – “It is an act of terror carried out only by Muslims, killing vastly Muslims (average 90% of victims, if not all of them) in the name of Islam, especially in one of the holiest month of the Islamic calendar.”

    Terrorists – “A group of Muslims who carry out acts of terror, killing vastly Muslims in the name of Islam (average 90% of victims, if not all of them), especially in one of the holiest month of the Islamic calendar.”

    There’s also a new definition of a ‘loner’.

    Loner – “Any mentally unstable white non-Muslim who carries out acts of terror on anyone at any time for any reason.”

    These new definitions of terrorism, terrorists and loner can be found in the New Idiots Dictionary of the Western World, and Idioticpedia (the equivalent of wikipedia for idiots).
