Chinese-Muslim RSN Regular Allegedly Subjected To Mental Torture Through Racist Abuse, RSN And MINDEF Must Investigate

    Admin,

The regular like lost because of the bullying.  you read for yourself. guarantee darah up when u read.

    Afnie Mardinee Story 1

    Afnie Mardinee Story 2

    Afnie Mardinee Story 3

I got to a point where enough is enough. How would you feel when your other half complains to you every single day, about the same thing over and over again? I kept on repeating “just endure for five years”. It’s easy for me to say as I’m not in his shoes.

My boyfriend is a regular from the Republic Of Singapore Navy (RSN).

The only Muslim onboard the ship. By being the only Muslim, he is often being discriminated for “betraying” his own race. Instead of calling him by his name, which is stated clearly on his name tag, several people onboard calls him “Muslim, Terrorist, ISIS, Malay, Mat or Kiao Tor (a derogatory term for Malays) etc”.

This has been ongoing for almost half a year since he was posted onboard the ship.

It started when a high ranking officer onboard the ship calls him by his religion instead of his own name.

There is a saying, “If the upper beams is not straight, the lower ones will go aslant”. To out in simpler words, if a leader sets a bad example, it will be followed by his subordinates and true enough, many of the lower ranking crews has started calling my boyfriend by racial or religious remarks.

To top that up, some have even made fun of his religion or made the effort to convince him to go against his religion. E.g – Just eat the pork la, Allah won’t see, Allah won’t know, Allah off day today. -.-? Drinking and eating in front of his face with the intention to disturb him while he’s fasting during ramadhan. Telling him that he is a real Muslim because he’s not circumcised yet. Thus, he’s able to drink, eat pork and all. – Muslims all terrorists, are you gonna bomb the ship? – Malay people are all poor. – Malay people like to steal.

There are other things that he mentioned and complained to me about. But, however, I’m unable to recall every single one of them. These are the few points which I could remember.

The Navy and Mindef must investigate this and punish all the people who bully this Muslim convert, how can they anyhow call him a terrorist and ask him to eat pork? so what he not yet circumcise?

Muis and Minister Yaacob must also give stern warning to everyone, any racist in Singapore will not be free. Navy already not so many Malays or Muslims but after this you think people still want to sign on?

  • Man Tried To Take My Child Away When Shopping At I12 Katong Mall

Man Tried To Take My Child Away When Shopping At I12 Katong Mall

Today at I12 Katong Mall, while my husband finished up his meal at BaliThai I was walking around the 2nd level trying to put SH to sleep in her pram. I went in and out of BaliThai and while M was paying the bill I browsed through some tshirts hanging at the racks of this shop called MegaFash.

For a minute my hands were off the pram as I used both of my hands to check out a shirt, and from the corner of my eye I noticed a man walking near my pram but away from it first and then made a turn behind my back, walked towards my pram placed both his hands on the handle bar and casually walked away.

Immediately I screamed HEY!!. He was very startled and his first reaction was to tell me off for my apparent over reaction.

He began behaving very aggressively accusing me of unnecessarily shouting at him and quickly brought his wife from the other side and told me why would he take my child when he has his own. There are more details to this incident which I will not state here – too long.

But dear friends who are parents, this dude is a buff Malay guy, wearing a white shirt and shorts. Very vulgar in language and aggressive in nature.

    His ‘wife’ looked foreign.

I will make a police report on this incident because what happened was highly suspicious and the sequence of events and how it occured was just not very normal.

Please be careful, Alhamdullilah nothing bad happened. If you would like to know more details, PM me and warn other parents.

Still scarred and shocked that such a thing happened to us in Singapore. Not a safe place anymore it seems.

  • StreetDeal’s Hidden ‘Membership Fee’ Riles Online Shopper

StreetDeal’s Hidden ‘Membership Fee’ Riles Online Shopper

A few days after avid online shopper Smith Leong bought a set of drumsticks – priced at $16.40 – from e-commerce site StreetDeal, he was shocked to see a separate $88 charge on his credit card bill.

“I thought I might have accidentally bought something else so I quickly logged on to my StreetDeal account, and checked all my invoices and e-mail. Nothing in the history showed that I had made any other purchase,” said the self-employed 31-year-old, who bought the drumsticks last month.

When he contacted the homegrown firm, he was told the extra charge was a premium membership fee, and that it had been outlined clearly during the purchasing process and in the terms and conditions.

“I felt cheated,” said Mr Leong, adding that he was refunded the $88 in credit for future purchases after numerous angry e-mail messages back and forth with the firm. “But I would rather just have my money back.”

The Consumers Association of Singapore (Case) has received 49 complaints against StreetDeal since January last year, more than double the 24 in 2012 and 2013.

Most of the cases are about hidden membership fees – either a one-time charge or in instalments.

Case is investigating the matter. It said the firm could be flouting the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act (CPFTA). Under this Act, it is an unfair practice to use small print to conceal a material fact from a consumer, said Case executive director Seah Seng Choon.

“We feel that it is unfair for StreetDeal to charge consumers for premium membership fees if the consumers did not explicitly state that they want to sign up for this membership, and this could be a misleading claim under the CPFTA,” he said.

When contacted, Mr Gregory Costamagna, StreetDeal’s chief executive, said the company has received some complaints from customers who claimed it was unclear that they were signing up for a membership. However, they made up only 1 to 2 per cent of its premium members here, he said.

At the checkout page, shoppers need to agree to be charged the membership fee, said Mr Costamagna. When they make payment, they are shown only the amount for the items purchased. The membership fee is excluded because shoppers are given a two-day free premium membership trial before they are charged, he said.

“If they want to cancel before the free trial, they can do so. And once we charge customers two days later, we send them another e-mail to tell them about the charge,” said Mr Costamagna, adding that customers will get a refund in credit if they want one.

Launched in 2010, StreetDeal has as many as 10,000 premium members in Singapore. Premium members return to the site to shop three times more than regular members, said Mr Costamagna.

StreetDeal also operates in countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Australia.

But Mr Leong thinks that there is a need for more clarity.

“Yes, I did miss the part where I was told I was going to have to pay $88. But it should be reflected as part of charges and I should receive an invoice,” he said.

Mr Een Yuan Long, 27, also missed the part where he was told to pay the membership fee. He bought a $7 dust cover for clothes and was charged the $88 fee too.

“It’s very cheeky,” said the corporate trainer. “I was so angry about it because it wasn’t obvious that I was being signed up for any membership. It was only apparent to me when the bill came.”

Ms Vera Ong, 29, was charged $9.90 a month for three months on her credit card for membership. She called StreetDeal and the charges were halted, but she did not receive any refund, she said.

“Sure, it is my responsibility to read the terms and conditions but surely they should have proper forms for us to sign and fill out for subscriptions,” said Ms Ong, who is self-employed. “If not, any business can make us pay subscription fees without our knowing.”

  • Photographer Takes Wife Along To Nude Shots

Photographer Takes Wife Along To Nude Shots

Most men think he has a dream job – being a photographer surrounded by the hot bods of lingerie models.

But freelance lensman Mr Larry Lim insists their envy is misplaced.

Mr Lim, 33, says: “When I’m in the heat of a shoot, I’m not thinking about how attractive the girls are. Instead, it’s all about how to make the best pictures for myself, for the model and the client.

“There is a lot of hard work involved.”

He freelances for Macro Studios, which specialises in paid shoots for corporate clients, wedding, and event photography.

He has been doing this for nearly eight years.

The fees for each job vary, from a few hundred to thousands of dollars, depending on the fees for the freelance models that he engages for his shoots.

One thing that gets him the most attention are his pictures of scantily clad women.

These pictures eventually make it to advertisements and publications, but some end up in less desirable places.

“I have had my pictures end up on seedy Internet forums,” he says, referring to the threads where netizens discuss lewd details of his models.

Some use his pictures for the wrong reasons.

Last month, a man pretended to be a professional photographer by using one of Mr Lim’s photos in his personal portfolio.

The man ended up asking for sexual favours from the models, says Mr Lim, who was alerted by his models.

“I had to spread the word that I’m not that same guy because credibility counts for everything in this business. Word gets around like wildfire.”

If a client demands it, he is able to do a nude photo shoot.

When he gets such jobs, he pulls out his phone book that contains a long list of female models willing to strip for the camera.

But doing these nude photo shoots also means that he relies on his own crew of lighting assistants and make-up artists.

This is because there have been countless occasions where friends and strangers ask to be present at these shoots to “help out”.

Mr Lim, who also holds a second job selling life sciences equipment, says: “I know it’s because they want to ‘beo cha bor’ (Hokkien for ‘peep at women’).

“I have to be very cautious because my reputation is on the line. I will only allow those with experience, and if the model is okay with it.”

It is a precaution he has to take because his models have had several bad experiences dealing with perverts while on the job.

Jobs which involved nudity or bikini models also used to affect his relationship with his wife.

“My wife knew all along that I was in this business and yes, at first, she had self-confidence issues because she must have thought I might run away with one of the girls,” he says.

His solution? He takes his wife along for some of the nude shoots as his assistant.

“She gradually came to terms with it. She knows she can trust me,” he says with a smile.

    SECRETS OF THE TRADE

1 To succeed, you need to have a strong portfolio and a proven track record. One way is to gain experience from the pros by starting as an assistant.

2 Speak often and do not hide behind the camera. Models will feel more at ease and the resulting pictures will also reflect that.

3 Delete compromising images in front of the model and do not share them with anyone. Models appreciate that.
