Awesome Movers Company Replaced A Scratched Samsung TV After They Said That They Would

    #tanyakakina

I must do a special mention for this amazing person.

I moved house last week, msg few movers who turned me down cos its hari raya week. This one agreed to do.

During the shift, he has almost 10staff and all locals who understood what to be done and carried my stuff carefully, all wrapped or dismantled n to be fixed back at the new place.

That was not the highlight. At the new place he drilled the wall to fix back my tv. Then they realised my tv had a hairline crack. It was a new 65inch samsung n upon hearing that, tears rolled down my cheeks. He admitted his mistake n promised to buy me a new tv. Waaaaat! Jangan bedek lah! So says my inner voice. 3days later he came back with a new tv, exactly the one i had. This is one hell of a businessman, who took a lot of pride in running an honest business. I was so amazed that he didnt run away with empty promises. My prev mover lost my wedding photo and didnt answer my calls or refund me. So i am really thankful this time, there is an honest mover to deal with.

For the type of work he does, n the guarantee that he gives, i paid a mere $500 for the whole shifting. He refunded me with a tv worth more than $5k.

Hope more people will support him and his men who worked so hard. I thank zul and his team from the bottom of my heart.

    Think movers. Think Budget Moverz.

  • 15-Year-Old Indonesian Teenager Weds 73-Year-Old Bride

15-Year-Old Indonesian Teenager Weds 73-Year-Old Bride

A teenage boy has married his 73-year-old lover in a remote village on Indonesia’s Sumatra, officials said, after the unconventional couple threatened a double suicide if their match was thwarted.

The romance began when septuagenarian Rohaya Binti Kiagus Muhammad Jakfar took care of her neighbour Selamet Riyadi, 15, who was suffering from malaria, the local village chief said.

“Selamet is too young to marry but we married them anyway because he threatened to commit suicide,” village chief Cik Ani, told AFP, adding local officials also wanted them to “avoid the sin of adultery”.

“Since the boy is an underage, we have decided to carry out the marriage privately,” he said.

Riyadi’s father died several years ago and the boy was not properly cared for by his mother, who has remarried, Ani said.

Rohaya has been married twice before, both times to divorcees and has at least one child from the marriages, but this time “she got a virgin”, Ani added.

The marriage took place Sunday in the remote Karang Endah village in South Sumatra province, but sparked national interest when a video of the couple’s wedding vows went viral on social media outlets.

“He said he was madly in love. We love each other,” Rohaya told reporters after the wedding.

The video shows the unlikely couple reciting their vows in front of their relatives and friends.

Under Indonesian law, the legal age for marriage is 19 for a man and 16 for a woman.

  • Malaysia’s Defence Minister Plans To Send Humanitarian Aid To Marawi

Malaysia’s Defence Minister Plans To Send Humanitarian Aid To Marawi

Malaysia’s Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said he is in discussions with his Philippine counterpart to send humanitarian aid to conflict-hit Marawi.

“We want to make sure Islamic State (IS) doesn’t have a foothold in the region, whether it’s in Marawi or anywhere in ASEAN,” he said. “The winning of hearts and minds also require human touch, and that’s why we are in discussions with secretary Delfin on sending humanitarian relief to help those fleeing Marawi because we don’t want them to turn to militancy because they are angry.”

Hishammuddin was speaking to local media after officiating Malaysia’s military trading co-op facilities at the Subang Airforce Base on Thursday (Jul 6).

The defence minister, who last month witnessed the launch of trilateral maritime patrols in the Sulu Sea with the Philippine and Indonesian armed forces, said he hoped to launch joint air patrols soon from Subang military airport outside Kuala Lumpur.

While details are being ironed out, he reiterated that the armed conflicts in Marawi concerned the entire region, in particular the presence of foreign fighters there.

He added that Malaysia had stepped up its military presence in the east coast of Sabah to prevent these fighters from slipping into the country.

“Foreign fighters in Marawi is my biggest concern, as you know there were not just Malaysians who were shot dead in Marawi,” he said. “With Islamic State fighters fleeing former IS-controlled areas like Aleppo, Mosul and Raqqa, we do not know where they are fleeing to next.”

Hishammuddin said he will be visiting Saudi Arabia to tighten efforts in fighting IS militancy through the sharing of assets and intelligence .

He will be meeting the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia to discuss the setting up of the King Salman Regional Centre of Peace to counter narratives to win the war against IS.

  • Display private-hire car licence, decal or face penalties

Display private-hire car licence, decal or face penalties

From tomorrow, private-hire car drivers who fail to display a licence or special decals will face a fine, or even jail time. The Land Transport Authority (LTA) in a statement yesterday said that those who do not display the decals on their windscreens, or tamper with them in any way, are guilty of an offence under the Road Traffic Act. First-time offenders could be fined up to $1,000, jailed up to three months, or both. The punishment goes up to $2,000 and six months for repeat offenders. They may also have their Private Hire Car Driver’s Vocational Licence (PDVL) revoked.

Meanwhile, those who provide services without a PDVL or a concession letter from the LTA could be fined up to $500, jailed up to three months, or both. They could also be banned from holding such a licence. As of last Saturday, about 27,000 private-hire cars had been affixed with the tamper-evident decals. They are meant to allow commuters to easily identify registered cars and facilitate ground enforcement against errant drivers.

People who have committed extremely serious offences – such as rape, murder or kidnapping – are barred from obtaining a PDVL. Meanwhile, those who have committed less serious offences – for example, housebreaking – will be banned for a number of years from the date of their conviction. Following this, their applications will be considered if they have reformed. Those who have not committed offences which are deemed to be a danger to the physical safety of the public – such as forgery – will not be banned.

  • [Follow Up On The Cat Saga] Information About The Breeder

[Follow Up On The Cat Saga] Information About The Breeder

The breeder is unable to pay for anything. She has no income as she does not have a job, and since the cats are in such bad condition, she cannot even sell them for any other form of income. Government agencies have stepped in to offer assistance to her.

    ***

However, this does not give a reason for the authorities to let the breeder go scott-free. How the authorities treat or take action against the breeder will set the tone for future similar cases. Just take a look at last week’s case where 23 year old Illya Natasia Abdul Manaf, who was fined $2,500 by the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) for abandoning her cat at a staircase landing due to a family conflict (Case background: http://rilek1corner.com/2017/06/22/23-year-old-illya-natassia-abdul-manaf-fined-for-abandoning-pet-cat-due-to-family-conflict/). And that was only one cat. This case has 94 cats in very devastating condition, and 1 died. Something has to be done to the breeder/hoarder.
