Ungrateful Grab Rider After Paying $3.50 For The Ride, She Reported Driver For Moonlighting To MINDEF

A photo was posted in the group SG Road Vigilante:

“On 15 Dec 16, SSG XXX used GrabHitch to pick up a passenger, one Ms. Danielle Goh, from 5 Simon Road, Singapore S545893, and ferried her to her destination at Blk 405A, Fernvale Lane, Singapore 791405. He received payment of $3.50 as remuneration for his services. He was wearing his SAF uniform at the time. On 16 Dec 16, the MINDEF Feedback Unit received an email from Ms Goh alleging that SSG XXX was a regular serviceman who was moonlighting as a GrabHitch driver. His unit then commenced investigations into the matter and investigations were later handed over to SID as the matter involved a commercial entity, Grab. In the course of SIB’s investigations, it was revealed that SSG XXX had completed a total f 140 trips between 26 Oct 16 and 14 Mar 17 using GrabHitch and received a total of the approval of PS(DD) or DMP before receiving remuneration for the services he rendered as a GrabHitch driver.

He was eventually convicted by GCM and sentenced to a fine of $2,000 in default of 2 weeks detention. He is currently pending offence severity assessment.”

Now it seems like netizens are angered by the incident and want to make it viral so that no drivers will pick up this vigilante called Danielle Goh in the future. Do you think what she have done is fair or justice? How ungrateful can she be?

  • 72-Year-Old Ferrari Driver Found Guilty Of Punching Face Of BMW Driver

72-Year-Old Ferrari Driver Found Guilty Of Punching Face Of BMW Driver

A district court has found Ferrari driver Shi Ka Yee, 72, guilty of assaulting a fellow motorist in 2014.

Following a two-day trial, District Judge Chay Yuen Fatt convicted her on Thursday (Aug 17) of hurting Mr Raphael Chong Yen Ping by punching his face along Telok Ayer Street at around 5pm on Feb 25, 2014.

He suffered a cut above his right eyebrow.

On the first day of the trial on June 5, this year, Mr Chong, 39, testified that he was in his BMW and waiting for a parking space along the one-way road when Shi drove by in her red Ferrari.

Mr Chong said Shi started to shout and sounded her horn as she wanted him to move his car.

He told District Judge Chay that he stayed put as the road was wide enough for other vehicles to pass through easily.

He added that Shi became very upset and launched into “verbal diarrhoea” against him.

Mr Chong said she got out of her car to snap pictures of him, holding up traffic as there were other vehicles behind them.

He then told her: “Don’t know how to drive, don’t drive a Ferrari.”

Mr Chong said Shi then moved towards his car and punched him on the right side of his forehead through an open window.

The court heard that she was wearing rings on her fingers and the blow caused a cut on Mr Chong’s forehead. He called the police after she drove away.

An advertising agency executive director, Mr Stephen Choy Ying Whye, who also took the stand on June 5, said he was in another car nearby when he saw Shi stepping out of her car. When cross-examined by Shi’s lawyer, Mr Irving Choh, Mr Choy also testified that Mr Chong had not uttered any vulgarities to her.

Shi took the stand on June 29 and admitted that she had assaulted Mr Chong.

However, she said her behaviour was justified as he had abused her with vulgar language. She also testified that she had not punched, but slapped him.

She added: “I was very stunned, shocked and humiliated… He was not a respectable gentleman. My instinct was to give him a slap, (and) I did.”

She is now on bail. Her mitigation and sentencing will be held at a later date.

Besides causing hurt, Shi has six other charges against her which will be dealt with at a later date.

She was in the news last year over a case involving a rain tree on her Astrid Hill property, near Holland Road. Its branches were encroaching into her neighbour’s front yard and the judge ordered her to trim them and pay the neighbour damages.

Four of the charges against her that have been stood down for now relate to the Astrid Hill rain tree incident, including one count each of criminal trespass and committing a rash act.

The other two charges relate to an incident on June 29 last year, when Shi allegedly stopped her car between the third and fourth lanes of Orchard Road, just after the Claymore Road junction, causing an obstruction there.

Offenders convicted of assault can be jailed up to two years and fined up to $5,000.

  • Eggs When Splattered Cannot Be Unscrambled; Orchard Road

Eggs When Splattered Cannot Be Unscrambled; Orchard Road

Early this morning a cartons of eggs, believed to have fallen out of a vehicle, blocked off at least one lane along Orchard Road.

The spillage of broken eggs, on the second lane outside Mandarin Gallery, stretches for about the lengths of three fire engines. Some might say that it looked like a work of art. An interesting piece too.

Photos of the scene quickly spread over the internet.

The driver whose eggs belongs to was not there and is believed to have fled the scene.

Surprisingly the splattered eggs did not seem to have caused damaged to vehicles in the area either based on the photos.

Some road users were actually more surprised to see fully armed police in black directing traffic at the incident area. There were four of them standing beside two motorbikes. It is not clear if they happened to be in the area or that they were actually tasked to render assistance.

Moral of the story: This is why you don’t place all of your eggs in one basket. Lorry driver mana??

Taxi Driver Parked Car Without Consideration For Others, Blocked Path Of Makcik In Wheelchair

Local celebrity author Zai Miztiq was so miffed by an inconsiderate taxi driver that she had to make a video to give attention to the situation.

The driver was already parking illegally on double yellow lines and made it worse by blocking a wheelchair-access ramp. The drivers inconsiderate action made it difficult for Zai’s wheelchair-bound mother to get into a waiting car.

A reminder to all drivers, the road does not belong to you. If you have to park illegally, park illegally in an inconsiderate manner.
