Rudy Marican: Apa Dah Jadi Dengan Masyarakat Islam Kita, Mak Sendiri Pun Tak Ambil Kisah?

Saya sedeh sanggat kerana saya sendiri dah tanamkan mak kesayangan saya!!

Saya bermohon kapada anda tolong lah buat perubahan sebelum terlambat kalau anda rasa anda dalam golongan ne…saya tak ada niat nak kecikkan hati sesiapa ya…cuma saya amat sedeh bila macik menangis kat saya..

Memang mak kita tak sempurna sepenuhnya…tapi kita pun tak sempurna kan?

Saya berdoa anda cuba lah …memang jaga mak kadang kadang ujian nya berat tapi Allah dah janji Janna kan…?

  • MHA: Political, Controversial Social Issues Should Be Decided by Singaporeans Alone

MHA: Political, Controversial Social Issues Should Be Decided by Singaporeans Alone

The Government has always taken the position that foreigners and foreign entities should not interfere in our domestic matters (“Clarity needed on ‘interference by foreign entities’” by Ms Corinna Lim; yesterday).

Political and controversial social questions should be decided by Singaporeans alone.

The Speakers’ Corner was established to provide a space for Singaporeans to express themselves, without requiring a permit, on the condition that there is no participation of foreigners.

In line with this condition, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is reviewing Speakers’ Corner rules to make clear that foreign entities should not fund, support or influence such events held at the Speakers’ Corner.

We will adopt a practical approach.

When this review is complete, the ministry will set out the parameters.

The Government is committed to diversity and inclusiveness, and expects the same of businesses operating here with respect to their employees.

However, advocating positions on Singapore laws and policies on socially divisive issues is an entirely different matter.

That is a right that must be reserved for Singaporeans.

The MHA statement of June 7 made it clear that this applies equally to those who advocate lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) causes, as well as those who oppose LGBT causes.

  • PCF Childcare Have No Heart, Instilling Wrong Values In Children

PCF Childcare Have No Heart, Instilling Wrong Values In Children

These days, PCF childcare centre management have no eyes to see, no heart to feel.

You give my child field trip form late last week, expect payment by tomorrow. Cash. What’s the point of the CDA account? Aren’t educational field trips by PCF childcare centres supposed to be funded by CDA account?

Doesn’t help that they have a “carry balls” Parent Support Group that only thinks about the welfare of their own children. Hey, spare a thought for those parents who find it hard to cough up money at the end of the month! Not everyone is rich, okay! To you, $20 per child is nothing. It could mean the difference between eating tomorrow or not for others!

To “sell” this field trip, the school has pumped up the children’s spirits. How would a child react when he sees his friends going to field trip but he can’t because Mummy and Daddy can’t afford it?? That’s what a CDA account is for, you know!

You want to teach about “haves and have-nots”? Don’t need to go to Pertapis! Start with the childcare centre itself! Not everyone can afford what’s affordable to you!

A big thank you to the management and the “sar kar” Parents Support Group of PCF Sparkletots Yuhua, Block 264 Jurong East Street 24 for introducing our children to the concept of class segregation!

(Yes, please call me down for a “clarification session” or whatever. I’m looking forward to it. But remember, not all parents work office hours. Sorry to ruin your perfect little worlds.)

  • Wearwhite: We Support The Expression Of Concern By Roman Catholic Archbishop William Goh Over The Upcoming Concert By Madonna

Wearwhite: We Support The Expression Of Concern By Roman Catholic Archbishop William Goh Over The Upcoming Concert By Madonna

All religions taught us to have a higher and deeper sense and taste of aesthetics and arts. To entertain with lust and immorality is easy, cheap & hollow.

Wearwhite supports the statement of archbishop William Goh.

    Let us return to Fitrah.

Archbisop William Goh’s statement is available at https://sg.news.yahoo.com/singapore-archbishop-warns-flock-against-madonna-concert-063258861.html

Singapore’s Roman Catholic archbishop has expressed concern at an upcoming concert by pop diva Madonna in the city-state and warned his flock against supporting those who “denigrate and insult religions”.

Archbishop William Goh said in a statement posted on the diocese website on Saturday that he had met various government officials to express the church’s concerns about the February 28 concert, part of her global Rebel Heart Tour.

The concert, at the 55,000-seat National Stadium, will be Madonna’s first-ever in largely conservative Singapore.

She was barred from performing in Singapore in 1993 after police said her performances bordered on the obscene and were “objectionable to many on moral and religious grounds”.

Goh said that in a multi-ethnic society like Singapore “we cannot afford to be overly permissive in favour of artistic expression at the expense of respect for one’s religion”.

Authorities have assured the archbishop that restrictions have been placed to ensure that content deemed offensive to religious beliefs would not be allowed on stage, the church statement said.

The Media Development Authority has restricted the concert to those aged 18 and above because of sexual references.

Local media reports said Madonna would not be performing a controversial tour segment called Holy Water, which includes dancers dressed as scantily-clad nuns performing on cross-shaped stripper poles.

The church statement said many Roman Catholics have voiced outrage at Madonna’s “disrespectful use of Catholic and other Christian symbols” in her performances.

“There is no neutrality in faith; one is either for or against. Being present (at these events) in is itself a counter-witness,” the archbishop said.

He warned his flock against supporting “the ‘pseudo arts’ that promote sensuality, rebellion, disrespect, pornography (and) contamination of the mind of the young”.

Some Catholics said they supported the archbishop’s decision and would not attend the concert.

Student Kevin Koh, 24, said he would not go but would not pass judgement on fellow Catholics who attend.

“Singapore as a society has to start being open to these things because we can no longer live in our own shells,” he told AFP.

Some online comments were critical, with one commentator saying the faithful should be allowed to make their own decisions.

  • Open Letter To MOE: Cease Hiring Of Male Gay Teachers

Open Letter To MOE: Cease Hiring Of Male Gay Teachers

    Dear Sir & Madam,

I am disappointed to know that another gay male teacher was charged in court recently. He was accused of molesting two boys aged 13 and 14 in his flat . After the Straits Times broke the news, social media users investigated and managed to uncover that he was a Head of Department of a primary school when those hideous acts were committed. Photos of him were posted on the internet [1].

Clarence Hoe King Chuan was not the first gay teacher to be formally charged for his devious acts. Earlier in December, Chock Soon Seng, a 37 year old male former primary school teacher was sentenced to prison for sexually abusing a 14 year old boy and threatened to circulate his nude photos online [2]. In the same month, another 34 year old male teacher in a primary school molested a 12 year old boy who is under his care as a CCA teacher & discipline master [3].

In July this year, a male Junior College teacher was convicted for underage sex with a 14 year old boy he met on the internet [4].

Besides recent cases, a 33 year old gay male teacher in primary school molested and kissed 4 boys between the age of 10 and 12 years old last year November [5]. That same year, a 33 year old gay teacher had molested a 13 year old boy in a condominium swimming pool shower cubicle [6].

In March 2012, another gay 38 year old primary school was sent to prison for jailed for 10 years for sexually violating two boys, one of them was only 8 years old [7].

The examples I have listed above are certainly not exhaustive. I firmly believe that most of our teachers who entered the profession have regarded teaching as a noble case but I fear there is a small group of teachers who became teachers to satisfy their own immoral desires.

Does MOE and her respective schools have any safeguards to ensure that our school grounds do not become a hunting ground for these sexual predators?

I hope our Education Minister Mr Heng Swee Keat has not turned a blind eye to these incidents and I hope he can set a proper directive and address this issue before parents lose trust in our educational institutions.
