    Dzar Ismail: Syukur Dilahir Seorang Muslim Di Singapura

    Kalau di China, orang Islam dilarang berpuasa, sampai ada yg sembunyi sembunyi bershaum. Disini, kita bebas berpuasa, itu pun ada orang tak puasa.

    Kalau di Perancis, keselamatan seseorang yg berhijab itu sering terancam. Siap ada undang-undang lagi melarang orang berhijab. Tidak disini. Sapa nak berhijab silakan, siapa tak nak, takder paksaan. Sendiri jawab.

    Kalau di England, sembahyang kat stadium, orang amek gambar, upload internet, label ‘disgrace’. Tidak disini, ada yg siap berjemaah satu sudut di stadium, sebelum game bermula. Sholat Hari Raya dalam stadium lagi ada.

    Kalau di Jerman, peh susah nak cari makanan halal. Ada bila melancong, siap tarpao biskut dengan Meggi, was was punya pasal. Tidak disini. Senang nak cari makanan halal. Bacon pun halal. Turkey baconlah.

    Kalau di Korea Selatan, peh susah nak cari masjid, Korea Utara jgn cakap lah. Disini, hampir satu masjid di setiap estet perumahan. Sampai belia masjid boleh buat acara touring naik basikal dari masjid ke masjid.

    Aku tinggal di Singapura. Pemerintah sekular, bukan pemerintah Islam. Tapi kadang kadang sifat mereka lebih Islam dari yg sekian ada di merata dunia.

    Penjualan arak diharamkan dibeberapa tempat dan waktu tertentu. Untuk menjaga keamanan dan keselamatan.

    Aktiviti menghisap rokok diharamkan dikebanyakkan tempat. Sampai bawah blok, corridor rumah pun tak boleh.

    Aktiviti hubungan sejenis diharamkan menurut undang-undang.

    Kita bebas berdakwah, nak buat ceramah, forum perdana, kelas agama, maulid, ibadah korban, silakan, asalkan dgn yg bertauliah dan mengikut garis panduan yg disarankan.

    Aku bersyukur dilahirkan seorang Muslim di Singapura. Bebas. Tiada halangan ketara. Hujan emas di negeri orang, hutan batu di negeri sendiri, lebih baik di negeri sini.

    Quite a few Tipah and Tiped (tak tahu nama Tipah lelaki) tried to justify discrimination with “Aku boleh pergi masjid sembahyang…aku boleh puasa”….mana ada diskriminasi.

    As if that is all that is in Islam. Dapat sembahyang dapat puasa…dah cukup. Baik LKY…tengok kita boleh puasa…dia tak paksa kita makan.

    Another group of Tipah pula argue when discussing Kuan Yew… “Our mission is to cleanse our heart”…

    tu pasal lah nothing changes….bukan Kuan Yew je yang tipu Tipah…Tipah tipukan diri sendiri.

    Rasulullah bawa risalah selama 23 tahun….just untuk ajar solat dan puasa? Tu je? Punya lama nak ajar solat dan puasa?

    And our mission in life is just cleanse our heart? Tak kisah lah Kuan Yew buat apa..tak kisah he discriminate our brothers and sisters….tak kisah lah dia kutuk Islam..

    Kita bersihkan hati je cukup…

    Tu pasal lah Rasulullah hari hari cuma duduk….bersihkan hati…puasa dan solat..tu je? He didnt do anything else for Islam?

    A Muslim is not simply someone who prays, fasts and cleanse his heart. The three are parts of the behaviour of the Muslim. But does not encapsulate what being a Muslim means.

    A Muslim is someone who submits fully, totally…with no reservations to Allah’s wills and commands.

    He not only prays, fast and cleanse his heart…he lives in full accordance with what Allah has decreed. And if there are any commands that he is prohibited from applying..he strives to remove the prohibition.

    He speaks and stands against oppression. He applies Islam totally in his life or he strives within himself to apply it.

    Islam is a full, comprehensive way of life, worldview, understanding.

    Let us not reduce Islam to just a couple of rituals.

    Praise Of Lee Kuan Yew In Some Friday Prayer Sermons Angers Some In Malay Community

    The death of the nation’s founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew has permeated into our consciousness extensively since his death on Monday morning, but some Muslims have taken issue with the case of praising his legacy during Friday sermons earlier this afternoon.

    Usually delivered during Friday services before conducting their Zuhur (noon) congregation prayers, topics typically range from community, ethics, morals and generally all about being a better Muslim and human being.

    According to the transcript of today’s khutbah — sermons delivered by imams to Muslims attending Friday prayers at mosques — a portion of the speech is dedicated to Lee Kuan Yew, praising the late statesman for his role in ensuring a multi-racial and multi-religious society while also encouraging attendees to reflect on their own personal legacies.

    Some Muslims however have taken issue with the tribute to Lee Kuan Yew in their Friday prayers, a sort of unwelcome intrusion of state into religion.

     

    MUIS khutbah today…for Muslims to emulate Lee Kuan Yew.They praise a man who discriminate Muslims, insulted Islam …during khutbah Jumaat.This is MUIS now. A government propaganda machinery.

    Not all mosques however report the same cases of references to the late Lee Kuan Yew — some imams have left out the section concerning his passing in their sermons.
    Some Muslims have also raised concerns about the inclusion of politics in places of worship, while others feel that the passing of Lee does impact the community as a whole and it would be relevant in context of current events.

    Irsyad Beri Penghormatan Kepada Jenazah Bukan Muslim MUIS

    Adab dan etika dalam perhubungan sesama insan penting dalam Islam. Ini termasuk dalam urusan kita bersama mereka yang masih hidup mahupun yang telah meninggal dunia.

    Garis pandu Agama

    – Memberi penghormatan sewajarnya kepada jenazah termasuk dalam ajaran etika agama. Nabi saw bersabda: “Apabila kamu melihat iringan jenazah, maka berdirilah menghormatinya sampai iringan jenazah itu lalu dan meninggalkan kamu atau sampai dia diletakkan dalam kubur.” (Hadis riwayat Imam Muslim).

    – Antara ajaran Islam berkaitan memberi penghormatan kepada jenazah bukan Muslim ialah:

    • MENGHADIRI UPACARA PENGHORMATAN JENAZAH

    – Rasulullah saw menganjurkan supaya kita berdiri apabila jenazah lalu di hadapan kita sebagai tanda hormat.

    – Dalam suatu hadis diriwayatkan bahawa

    ‘… Rasulullah saw telah berdiri apabila jenazah lalu di hadapan Baginda, maka telah diberitahu kepada Baginda bahawa jenazah itu ialah jenazah seorang Yahudi, Baginda menjawab: “Bukankah ia juga satu jiwa (yang layak diberi penghormatan)”.’ (Hadis riwayat Imam Bukhari).

    – Oleh itu, kita dibolehkan menghadiri upacara penghormatan jenazah.

    – Sekiranya terdapat ritual berunsur keagamaan dalam upacara itu, seseorang Muslim tidak boleh melakukan ritual itu.

    – Bagi upacara umum yang tidak melibatkan unsur keagamaan dan seseorang hanya menundukkan kepalanya sedikit (tidak sehingga tahap rukuk atau sujud) sebagai tanda penghormatan kepada jenazah, perbuatan itu harus dan dibenarkan.

    • MENYAMPAIKAN TAKZIAH

    – Mengucapkan takziah kepada keluarga si mati dibolehkan. Kita juga digalak mendoakan kesejahteraan serta ketabahan buat ahli keluarganya.

    • MENGINGATI KEBAIKAN

    – Kita digalak mengingati kebaikan si mati, mengenang jasa dan pengorbanannya. “Apabila seseorang mengungkapkan kata-kata kesat terhadap jenazah, maka dia sebenarnya menyakiti mereka yang masih hidup.” (Hadis riwayat Imam At-Tirmizi).

  • More Mosques To Be Built In Singapore

    More Mosques To Be Built In Singapore

    We are happy to report that many mosques are being upgraded and new mosques being built to meet the needs of the community.

    Five more mosques are being upgraded this year. They include En-Naeem, Sultan, Sallim Mattar, Al-Khair and Al-Falah Mosques. Al-Ansar Mosque in Bedok is due to be re-opened in April.

    Al-Islah Mosque in Punggol is scheduled for completion before Ramadan this year. Yusof Ishak Mosque in Woodlands and Maarof Mosque in Jurong West should be completed in 2016.

    As Tampines expands, a new mosque will be built in Tampines North in the next few years to serve new residents there and neighbouring Pasir Ris, as well as industrial estates in both areas. We will also upgrade Darul Ghufran Mosque in 2016 to provide 1,000 more prayer spaces and expanded Islamic learning facilities.
