Tapi kita harus sedar dan jangan lekas terpedaya dgn tipudaya PAP dan alat sebaran amnya.

    Masih hanya SEGELINTIR!!

  • Advice For All Singaporean Brothers: Choose Driver Vocation For NS, You Won’t Regret It

Advice For All Singaporean Brothers: Choose Driver Vocation For NS, You Won’t Regret It

    First….ORD loh!

Ok for all you bros who not yet enlist, now you all can choose from 33 different vocations. No need scared ah..

I got very good advice for you. Maybe the best advice you will get on your NS.

Go become driver! Seriously there is nothing more useful in NS then picking up driving. The best thing is you dont haf to pay for it.

Doesnt matter if you in the end cannot automatically convert your licence to a civilian one. With that skill, chances are you’ll breeze through the lessons at the driving schools so you still can save money

Dont be put off by smart alecks telling you that it might affect your career if your NS vocation is not good. They say better have good vocation so that your prospects will be brighter, especially if you intend to join the civil service. actually if you don’t have any intention of to sign on with uniform group then you dont have to worry. you can still be HOD or reach manager level. you can still become doctor or lawyer or scientists or lecturers. dats teh fact lah bros. You want to become Uber driver also can!

Go ahead discuss with your parents. Think about what you want to do. But remember, the best choice is to become a driver!

NUS Male Undergrad: Girlfriend Dumping Boyfriend During National Service Is A Serious Issue

    A few years back~~~

Just a few months before my ORD, my friends in university warned me that my girlfriend was hanging out with a biz student. However, she denied all her wrong doings and guilt tripped me into thinking that I’m not a trustworthy boyfriend. I had to perform my ns duties then, how can I verify the truth? I discovered her cheating activities when I spied on her chat history. Apparently, she spent a night at the guy’s home after his birthday party and did unforgivable stuffs.

It was then, I realised that this relationship was beyond salvation, hence I took a hard decision to cut off all contacts with her. Obviously, this was not an easy decision after all. I fell from a high spot and fractured my arm during SOC because the pain of betrayal kept my focus diluted. I cried so hard while being evacuated to the medical centre. I felt that I F… up my life, I never cried so badly for a girl before in my life.

Instead of questioning my sudden disappearance , she showed no concern at all and allowed me to drift away completely from her life. This made me knew that my decision is right.

    Fast forward to now~~~

Occasionally, I still see her at the biz canteen hanging out with that guy. To be honest, till today I am still angry over that bastard rich kid. It motivates me to work harder to be rich, so that I won’t lose another girlfriend to a rich kid again!

  • Quah Zheng Wen Yet To Decide On NS Deferment

Quah Zheng Wen Yet To Decide On NS Deferment

With two days to go until the end of his National Service (NS) deferment, Quah Zheng Wen has still not given any indication of his next move.

Last July, the Ministry of Defence (Mindef) announced that the 19-year-old would be granted deferment from full-time NS until Aug 31, to allow him to train and compete at the 2016 Olympic Games.

The 19-year-old — who was the most bemedalled athlete at the 2015 SEA Games with 12 medals — proved his mettle in the Olympic Aquatic Stadium in Rio, qualifying for two semi-finals in the men’s 100m and 200m butterfly in new personal best times, to finish ranked 15th and 10th overall.

He also narrowly missed out on a place in the 200m fly final by 0.08s.

Outgoing national swimming head coach Sergio Lopez had singled out the talented young swimmer as a medal potential for the Republic in the 2020 Tokyo Games, particularly after his performance in his second Olympic outing in Rio.

Joseph Schooling, who won Singapore’s first ever Olympic gold medal with his victory in the 100m butterfly agreed.

“He’s improving. Two semi-finals, that’s phenomenal. He has a lot more potential,” said Schooling two weeks ago, during his short stay in Singapore after his Olympic win. “I think he can definitely win a medal or even win (a race) in 2020, if he keeps on this path.”

Former Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) student Quah, who had told TODAY in June that he planned to serve his NS after the Olympics, is currently on holiday in the United States, and has not informed the Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) of his decision.

“NS deferment is a personal matter, a decision that Zheng Wen and his parents will make when they are ready,” said Oon Jin Teik, SSA’s secretary general.

“If they wish to, SSA will give our full support and work with Mindef, the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and Sport Singapore.

“In our past dealings on various athletes’ matters, Mindef have always been very supportive, contrary to perceptions. We are very appreciative.”

mrbrown To Lee Bee Wah: Want To Claim Credit? Detail How You Secured NS Deferment For Joseph Schooling

Lee Bee Wah, please share with us a detailed breakdown of how you secured NS deferment for Joseph Schooling and Quah Zheng Wen, since you seem very convinced about your monumental contribution.

Because my understanding is that their parents negotiated with Mindef at a personal level.

But hey, you seem to be claiming credit too, so we would love to hear how much you did for them.
