  • Man Tried To Break Into Woodlands Flat At Midnight With Occupants Inside

Man Tried To Break Into Woodlands Flat At Midnight With Occupants Inside

A male stranger allegedly tried to break into Stomper Ong‘s flat at Block 774 Woodlands Crescent at around midnight today (July 7), when only his wife and three-year-old daughter were at home.

The Stomper said he and his mother had been out at a funeral when the incident occurred at about 12.24am.

According to Amos, whose wife managed to take a picture of the man, he has never seen the guy around before.

The family subsequently lodged a police report but are still worried that the man might return.

    Amos recounted what happened:

“My wife and daughter were resting in our room. While my wife was in a phone call with her friend, both of them heard loud banging of the main door. She went out to open the door, thinking that it was my mum who was having difficulty opening it.

“To her shock, it was an unfamiliar man in a red shirt, trying to push his way through and enter our house. He stood in the front area of our house, asked my wife to keep quiet and intended to proceed further in.

“At that moment, my wife was only thinking about the safety of our three-year-old daughter. She shouted and asked my daughter to go into the room, then managed to push this red shirt man out the door and locked the metal gate.

“This man then stood outside and asked my wife for evidence that he did the damage to our door. After some confrontation, he walked away to the stairway and disappeared from sight.

“A neighbour came out after this (he hard heard loud banging noise, big thanks to him) and my wife managed to ask him to come over to help.

“While she was explaining the situation, this red shirt man returned and told my neighbor that my wife was ‘gila orang’ and ran off.

“That’s when she manage to took a short clip of his appearance. He was sweaty, bare-footed and kept scratching his leg using the other leg.”

Amos also shared a photo of the damaged inflicted on his door and said it was caused by the man “using a lot of force”.

    He added:

“The police are currently investigating this, but what we don’t understand is his intention of doing this. Why did he come back? Why our house when there were people still in there?

“We understand that there is some neglect on my wife’s part (for opening the door without checking, and she can’t remember if she did lock the metal gate) but I believe he will eventually force his way in; it is just a matter of time.

“I can’t imagine what would have happened to the two girls if my wife had not overpowered him at that moment.”

In response to queries by Stomp, a Police spokesman said they were alerted to a case of House Trespass at Block 774 Woodlands Crescent at 12.28am.

    Investigations are ongoing.

  • Help Bring Back My Son Who Ran Away To Chinese Girlfriend Even Though We Did Not Have Any Misunderstanding

Help Bring Back My Son Who Ran Away To Chinese Girlfriend Even Though We Did Not Have Any Misunderstanding

    Dearest FB Friends,

I receive a PM this morning. A plea from a parent who are currently going through difficult moments and are at their wit ends. They seek the kind help of FB friends to locate their son. They have tried means and ways but were unable to do so. I was allowed to share their family photos. It was not easy to share something personal as such with strangers. But parents being parents they would go through hell fire and back for their children. We are all parents and emphatise the anguish of Mr Hassan Ee and his wife. Let’s pray for the safe return of their son.

    Son & Family

QUOTE ” Hi Zarina, need your help (post on your wall) to search for my beloved Son. His name is Mohamad Aizuddin Akmal. He was born on 28 April 1995. He left home and never returned back since his last birthday @ 20th Birthday.

He never had a girlfriend before but while he was doing his NS (now ORD) he get to know an older local Chinese girl (Sarah). I & my Wife get to know the girl family too. Her parents has divorced, she’s staying with her mom (Esther) and younger brother Dylan in Chai Chee area.

    Missing Son And Chinese Gf

My boy is a filial son; he is humble and very kind in nature. He is being loved by many in our family. Since his last birthday he was last seen on Instagram with the girl family before he blocked all communication channels with all his family and close friends who know us. We did not have any misunderstandings before he left. We constantly remind him of being respectful to woman and never take advantage of them. While he was serving NS as a Narcotic dog handler, we use to check with his unit if he is ok. But ever since he ORD, he is nowhere to be found.

I used to text his girlfriend to ask about his whereabouts but to no reply. As parents we kept trying to locate him via text message to the girl but she replied with a police report “claiming that” we harassed her. Astargfirullahalazim, we never will do such stupid thing to get our son back safely. I was then called up to Bedok Police Station for statement. I told the Police but disappointingly the IO told me that nothing that I can do to get my son back because he chooses to ran away from home. I was reprimanded not to text the girl or her family.

I know my son will not be like this because we are very closely knit and we never thought such thing will happen. It will be 6 months now that my boy did not return home. His hp number is 8XXXXXX5. Sadly, his Grandmother, Aunties and uncles, his elder handicap Sister and all her siblings and cousins cry and pray for his return. But he has blocked everyone. I knew that the girl was evil in a way that she made a false report against us to the police. If I did harass her, I would already be charged for the crime.

I need everybody help to bring back my beloved Son Mohamad Aizuddin Akmal. I attached my Son’s photo and the girl photo. Please let anyone PM me if they know his whereabouts.”

  • Another Police Report Lodged Against Amos Yee For Allegedly Infringing Court Order

Another Police Report Lodged Against Amos Yee For Allegedly Infringing Court Order

A police report has been filed against teenager Amos Yee for allegedly infringing a court order by reproducing contents of his online rant about Christianity and an offensive video about the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew.

The complaint was filed yesterday by retired policeman Lionel de Souza, 72, in his capacity as assistant secretary of the People’s Action Party’s Hougang branch.

Police confirmed yesterday that a report was filed.

Amos, 16, was charged on March 31 with attacking Christianity, transmitting an obscene image, and making an online video that insulted Mr Lee.

He was out on bail of $20,000.

The video, called Lee Kuan Yew Is Finally Dead!, was uploaded on March 27, four days after Mr Lee’s death.

More than 20 police reports were lodged against Amos and as of yesterday, the video had been viewed over 880,000 times.

When he was charged, prosecutors asked that additional conditions be imposed.

These were that Amos undertake not to post, upload or otherwise distribute any comment or content online while his case was ongoing. He agreed.

In the police report, Mr de Souza said Amos could be in contempt of court because on Tuesday, he posted “what the court prohibited him to do”.

This was when he went online in a blogpost headlined “Donate To Help Amos Yee” to raise $30,000 for legal fees. The blogpost included links to the offensive videos and postings.

In the post he said: “I’ve already saved up a considerable amount of money by insisting that I’d only have lawyers who are able to represent me, pro bono. But unfortunately, there is still the inevitable cost of court fees, bail money all the nitty-gritties that makes a trial notoriously expensive, lawyers excessively rich and something that the common folk would never wish to touch with a 8-foot pole.”

Amos could not be contacted by phone for comment yesterday.

This is not the first such fund-raising effort. Blogger Roy Ngerng, who was found last November to have defamed Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, turned to crowd-funding last May to help pay his legal fees.

On Wednesday, Mr Ngerng said on Facebook that Amos was being “politically prosecuted” and directed viewers to Amos’ crowd-funding blogpost.

A pre-trial conference on the the charges against Amos is scheduled for today.
