Congratulations To Graduands Of The Specialist Cadet Graduation Parade, Including These Two Malay Cadets

The Specialist Cadet Graduation Parade at Pasir Laba Camp marked the completion of the 22-week Specialist Cadet Course, where the graduands trained under rigorous and realistic conditions to develop leadership and combat skills, and deepen their understanding of the other vocations in the SAF. Present at the parade were families and friends of the graduands and senior SAF officers.

“As Specialists in the SAF, we depend on you to lead and train the women and men under your charge, and to train and lead them well…In this era of troubled peace, we need leaders like you to prepare our men, our women and our nation for the unpredictable. Should war or terrorist acts happen on our soil, you must be — and you are — ready to respond and lead to protect our country and our home,” said Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information and Ministry of Education, Dr Janil Puthucheary in his speech.

In his closing speech he said, “To the parents, the family, and the loved ones of our Graduands here today, I thank you for your unwavering support. You are important sources of motivation and encouragement for our servicemen and women to give their all and do their best for their nation and for their families. To the newly-minted leaders of the SAF, Singapore trusts and depends on every one of you to protect our way of life and to keep Singapore safe and secure. I wish you all the best as you lead and defend our country. WITH PRIDE WE LEAD!”

  • China’s Warship Liaoning Has 10 Cafeterias With 20 Ethnic Minorities On Board

China’s Warship Liaoning Has 10 Cafeterias With 20 Ethnic Minorities On Board

Last weekend, China is opened up its aircraft carrier Liaoning to the public for the first time. The ship arrived in Hong Kong on Friday (July 7), accompanied by two destroyers and a frigate. Only 2,000 tickets for the tour at the weekend were handed out, leaving many who had lined up for hours disappointed. But for the lucky few, the visit is a peek into a highly specialised community, one that works, eats and sleeps together in a maze of hallways and rooms, surrounded by some of the most sophisticated technology and weapons in the Chinese military.

There are more than 3,800 rooms in the ship, including ones for sleeping, eating, exercise and laundry. There’s also the mess hall and even a store, where sailors can buy snacks and everyday items. For security reasons, every sailor carries a photo ID, which must be swiped to enter areas. Access is restricted according to a sailor’s assigned department. Men and women live apart, and fingerprint scanners restrict entry to the women’s quarters. Most sailors are given single beds about 1m wide and 2m long.

With nearly 20 ethnic minorities on board, it’s varied. The ship’s crew eat in 10 cafeterias, including ones specially designed for Muslims. They are offered four appetisers, six main courses and two desserts, going through two to three tons of food per day. When the crew really need to stretch out, the flight deck is turned into a makeshift soccer pitch. There is also an annual basketball competition, with 15 teams competing.

    Editors note:

The Chinese Navy can accept 20 ethnic minorities. The RSN cannot even accept one because its ships don’t have halal kitchens. Which one is more inclusive? Hendak seribu daya, tak nak seribu daleh kan. They won’t be ‘losing face’ so to say if they employ a handful of Malays on board because everyone knows that Malays are just a small group in Singapore. We are the minorities and that perhaps may not be changing anytime soon.

What if food was not the issue here since there are halal combat ration already available in SAF. Are they still questioning our loyalty? Still having doubts in Malays in Singapore? Maliki Osman dan Yacoob Ibrahim diam ke tentang isu ini?

    What are your thoughts?

  • MINDEF: Allegations Of Discriminatory Behaviour Are Taken Seriously, Investigations Ongoing

MINDEF: Allegations Of Discriminatory Behaviour Are Taken Seriously, Investigations Ongoing

It has come to our attention that there are social media posts spreading allegations of discriminatory practices in the SAF.

MINDEF/SAF takes such allegations seriously as it impacts public trust and undermines the strong public support for National Service (NS) and the SAF.

MINDEF/SAF does not tolerate any discriminatory behaviour and is investigating to determine the facts of the case. We take a serious view of the conduct of our servicemen.

If any service personnel is found to have breached our Code of Conduct, disciplinary proceedings will be convened and the necessary actions will be taken.

Chinese-Muslim RSN Regular Allegedly Subjected To Mental Torture Through Racist Abuse, RSN And MINDEF Must Investigate

    Admin,

Come across this ig post from a girl

    instagram.com/p/6Z7AlsNxqO/

From what she say, her boyfriend is a chinese-muslim convert who is facing a lot of racist bullying on the ship he posted to as a navy regular.

The regular like lost because of the bullying.  you read for yourself. guarantee darah up when u read.

    Afnie Mardinee Story 1

    Afnie Mardinee Story 2

    Afnie Mardinee Story 3

I got to a point where enough is enough. How would you feel when your other half complains to you every single day, about the same thing over and over again? I kept on repeating “just endure for five years”. It’s easy for me to say as I’m not in his shoes.

My boyfriend is a regular from the Republic Of Singapore Navy (RSN).

The only Muslim onboard the ship. By being the only Muslim, he is often being discriminated for “betraying” his own race. Instead of calling him by his name, which is stated clearly on his name tag, several people onboard calls him “Muslim, Terrorist, ISIS, Malay, Mat or Kiao Tor (a derogatory term for Malays) etc”.

This has been ongoing for almost half a year since he was posted onboard the ship.

It started when a high ranking officer onboard the ship calls him by his religion instead of his own name.

There is a saying, “If the upper beams is not straight, the lower ones will go aslant”. To out in simpler words, if a leader sets a bad example, it will be followed by his subordinates and true enough, many of the lower ranking crews has started calling my boyfriend by racial or religious remarks.

To top that up, some have even made fun of his religion or made the effort to convince him to go against his religion. E.g – Just eat the pork la, Allah won’t see, Allah won’t know, Allah off day today. -.-? Drinking and eating in front of his face with the intention to disturb him while he’s fasting during ramadhan. Telling him that he is a real Muslim because he’s not circumcised yet. Thus, he’s able to drink, eat pork and all. – Muslims all terrorists, are you gonna bomb the ship? – Malay people are all poor. – Malay people like to steal.

There are other things that he mentioned and complained to me about. But, however, I’m unable to recall every single one of them. These are the few points which I could remember.

The Navy and Mindef must investigate this and punish all the people who bully this Muslim convert, how can they anyhow call him a terrorist and ask him to eat pork? so what he not yet circumcise?

Muis and Minister Yaacob must also give stern warning to everyone, any racist in Singapore will not be free. Navy already not so many Malays or Muslims but after this you think people still want to sign on?
