3 Generals With No Experience Given Permanent Secretary Roles

Despite having zero relevant experience, 3 army general cronies of the ruling party government were appointed ministerial permanent secretaries roles as their next promotion. The former Chief of Navy, Rear-admiral (RADM) Lai Chung Han, is appointed Second Permanent Secretary under the Ministry of Education. RADM Lai Chung Han has never been in a teaching position or work with education institutes before, but his appointment will give him power to draft education policies.

Another army general crony, Lieutenant-General Neo Kian Hong, the former Chief of Defence Force from the Singapore Armed Force, who is currently Permanent Secretary for Education Development will be appointed Permanent Secretary for Defence Development.

The third army general crony, is the current Permanent Secretary for Defence Development, Major-General Ng Chee Khern from the Air Force. He will be promoted to be the Chairman of Government Technology Agency (GovTech) and also serve as the Permanent Secretary (Smart Nation and Digital Government) for the Prime Minister’s Office.

None of the army generals have any experience in ministerial portfolios. The Singapore government is increasingly becoming a military junta with 6 former army generals appointed as Ministers, including the Prime Minister himself who was a Brigadier-General.

Singapore army generals have recently took the spotlight due to the collapse of government-owned corporations, SMRT and Neptune Orient Line (NOL). The latter’s failure was more conspicuous as the new management immediately turned NOL profitable after 4 years of straight losses under former army general Ng Yat Chung.

Cronyism and legalised corruption are major stumbling obstacles for Singapore as the Prime Minister dictator values loyalty over competency when choosing government ministers and high ranking civil servants.

  • How Credible Are “Scholars” Who Learn About Islam From Western Institutions?

How Credible Are “Scholars” Who Learn About Islam From Western Institutions?

    # Islamic Scholars from Secular & Western Universities?

While neighbouring countries celebrate local & overseas scholars who attained doctorates in Islamic universities such as Jordan, Egypt & Saudi Arabia, and take knowledge from them.

Why then are we taking knowledge & promoting local & overseas scholars from Western universities such as those in Cambridge & Oxford, and secular universities such as those in staunchly secular Tunisia?

And who can we credit for this idea of sending students for Islamic studies to secular & Western universities and to eventually promote & propagate a brand of Islam with liberal & orientalist leanings?

“Religion as a knowledge does not belong to religious institutions, but rather to SECULAR higher learning colleges. And if we speak about qualified higher learning institutions, WESTERN universities are the most competitive ones.

Thus, if you want to study Islam, particularly Indonesian Islam, it should not be at UIN or a Middle Eastern institution, but rather at such universities as in the Netherlands, the United States, or Australia.”

Andrew Loh: What Will Happen If Chan Chun Sing Becomes PM?

    Just making an observation.

    1. Rear Admiral Minister suddenly announced he won’t be standing for election, after numerous criticisms for train breakdowns and failures.

    2. Another Rear Admiral suddenly steps down at LTA after less than 2 years, after recent controversy over purchases of 26 faulty trains.

    3. Lieutenant General at NOL fails to keep company afloat. Sells NOL to a foreign company.

    4. Another Lieutenant General at SMRT struggles to solve train problems. SMRT taken over by Temasek.

    5. Major General in the running to be next PM.

    I’m just saying.

  • An Encounter With A Young And Arrogant IRAS Tax Officer

An Encounter With A Young And Arrogant IRAS Tax Officer

Such claims and actions by the PAP Town Council such as lawyers letters, etc are certainly typical.

A visit to the Income Tax office informing the officer of my reasons for not being employed for a certain period of time plus proof of non payment such as mortgage, PUB, etc, and thus not able to pay my outstanding income tax on previous years was rejected by the young BITCH officer. Her demeanour during the interview came across rather pompous and arrogant. She asked me to wait for her foe about 30 minutes while she reviewed my case with a SENIOR officer.

She got back to me after 50 minutes and told me that she did NOT believe my reasons for non payment thus she has to impose a penalty fee.

These young and stupid bookworm Tax officers, WHAT do they know about hard life? They come from comfortable generation and up bringing and is now being put in the TAX Government office as a intern/under study and behave like Demi Gods in deciding the faith of pheasants.

Not accepting the outcome, I decided to ask to speak with the senior officer whom she claimed to have a discussion regarding my case. This b*t*h told me that the officer in charge is engage in a staff meeting. I then told her to assign me to another officer. She told me they are all engaged. Thus, I told her that I will wait for the senior officer to finish the meeting and to get back to me while I wait at the desk where I was interviewed.

The b*t*h officer tried to wayang with me and told me she would try her best to get the officer to attend to me. Five minutes later, the senior officer attended to me. It took me within 5 minutes to explain my predicament, showed paper proof and mentioned of the wasted time which the young b*t*h officer had put me through including the statement she made to me earlier regarding her disbelieve. The senior officer returned within 5 minutes and gave me an acceptable solution. The young b*t*h who was with her appeared slightly upset and her demeanour seems deflated. My point is some of the officers working in PAP Government offices or under the umbrella of the PAP acts like a big fcuk thinking that we owe them even after we show proof of our predicament.

Please note that the income tax office of Sinkapore uses high end PLANTRONICS earphones and some high end Herman Miller office chairs. Tax payers are paying for expensive chairs in the Tax Dept to accommodate to these tender backsides working there. Is it necessary??
