Beware! Peeping Tom Helps People Double Check Their Receipt At Sengkang MRT UOB Deposit Machine

    OK.

So i was at the UOB deposit machine located at Sengkang MRT Station. If you guys know exactly where it is, you do know that it is in an air-conditioned room and there’s only machines and no tellers.

When i walked in, i am pretty sure i am the only one in there and it is quiet. And also if somebody were to walk in, im pretty sure it would also be noticeable as the silence will break due to outside sounds coming in when the door opens. Well, you know what i mean. If not, just nod along and try to keep up.. LOL..

What do you guys normally do after you key in the information like account numbers etc? You double check against the paper that you are holding right? That is exactly what i did…….

And suddenly i heard a voice just behind my left ear….

    “Ya, correct…”

I turn around and saw this guy standing behind me, peering over my shoulder to “help” me double check my entry….

I was stunned like a vegetable. I stared at him and ask sarcastically..

    “Really?”

    “Ya.. really correct..” he answered..

    Menjawab pulak….

Ask him to back off and i quickly finished up the transaction. He goes back to the corner and just wait for his next victim…

Just a heads up for those staying in Sengkang..

    😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒

The police have arrested a 46-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman for an offence of public nuisance.

In a statement issued early Wednesday (April 26) morning, the police said they received reports on Sunday regarding a couple who had allegedly used offensive language and force against a 76-year-old man at Toa Payoh Lorong 8 Market & Hawker Centre.

The couple’s identities were established and they were arrested on Tuesday. Police investigations are still ongoing.

A video of the incident, which was first shared on Facebook page The Local Society on Sunday, has since been viewed over 2.8 million times, and shared more 41,000 times.

In the video, a man was seen shoving an elderly man while the latter was arguing with a woman. It is believed that the couple and the elderly man were arguing over a seat at the hawker centre.

The video triggered an uproar online. An online petition calling for civil action against the couple has gathered over 8,000 signatures since it was created on Monday.

Subsequent efforts by netizens to identify the couple were futile. A young woman was also misidentified in the process.

    Stabbing at Raffles Green

SINGAPORE – A fight between two men apparently broke out at Raffles Green during lunchtime on Friday, leaving one badly wounded.

A reader was told by eyewitnesses that two middle-aged Chinese men got into an argument outside Raffles Place MRT station just before 1pm on Friday, after which one man stabbed the other.

Another eyewitness, Ms Qiu, told Lianhe Wanbao two men were tussling with each other, and one took out a knife to stab the other in the waist, butt and left hand.

The fight attracted the stares of passers-by, and one woman attempted to pull them apart. Both fell to the ground after the stabbing. Ms Qiu said that the attacker had attempted to snatch the victim’s laptop bag.

Mr Ye Xiang, 27, who works at a bank, told Wanbao he saw the attacker stabbing the victim with a knife of about 15cm in length. Three other men, two Caucasian and one Indian, also came forward to help.

The man who was injured chased after the one who stabbed him for about 200m, and both men ended up near UOB Plaza. Student Roy Chng, 25, said that when he arrived on the scene at 1pm, an ambulance was attending to the victim. The attacker appeared to have an injury on his arm.

The two men involved have been sent to Singapore General Hospital, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
