  • Malaysian Couple Allegedly Hypnotised By Pickpocket While Shopping In KLCC

Malaysian Couple Allegedly Hypnotised By Pickpocket While Shopping In KLCC

Recently, a netizen known as Muhamad Hafiz and his wife were shopping at Suria KLCC when a pickpocket stole his wife’s purse. He decided to share this incident on Facebook to caution other shoppers, simultaneously hoping to identify the culprits through the power of social media.

    This is what he said.

“My wife’s purse, along with cash and important documents inside were stolen in the ZARA boutique at Suria KLCC. The CCTV clearly captured the culprit’s face and many similar cases have happened here before using the same modus operandi.”

“They were very cunning and I believe my wife and I were hypnotised by the pickpocket as we honestly did not feel anything amiss although the woman was clearly closing in on my wife.”

Hafiz also uploaded the CCTV footage, which clearly revealed the strategy of the women. It appears that the pickpocket has another accomplice who stood in front of the victims, acting as distraction.

The pickpocket who was holding a blouse as cover approached the victim and stealthily retrieved her purse. Although the pickpocket was in such close proximity to the victim, the couple didn’t seem to be alarmed at all, which led the husband to believe that they’ve been hypnotised.

    Here’s the footage he uploaded.

  • Animal Father Videos Own 21 Year Old Daughter Bathing, Jailed 4 Months

Animal Father Videos Own 21 Year Old Daughter Bathing, Jailed 4 Months

A man who recorded a video of his 21-year-old daughter bathing was jailed for four months on Monday (July 31).

The 48-year-old Malaysian pleaded guilty to insulting the modesty of his biological daughter in the toilet of a flat in Toh Yi Drive in July 2016.

At the time, the accused and his daughter were living in the same rented room.

Sometime in July last year, the complainant, now 22, was bathing when she saw a black mobile phone tied to the pipe below the basin inside the toilet.

She removed the phone and saw that it was in video recording mode. She stopped the recording and played back the video, which captured her nude body as she was bathing.

She then checked the phone and saw a few other videos capturing the accused’s face, and him adjusting the camera’s angle.

When confronted, the accused admitted that he had been doing this for the past two weeks.

She angrily deleted all the videos from the phone and returned it to him.

She subsequently left to stay with her colleague.

The accused admitted that he recorded the video for personal viewing. He had about 20 other similar clips of his daughter bathing in his phone but said that he had misplaced the device.

On April 5 this year at about 3.10am, officers responded to a message at Block 840 Jurong West Street 81 and arrested the accused for attempted suicide.

A second charge of using threatening words and behaviour towards his daughter by saying that he wanted to jump down while having his arms and left leg on the parapet was taken into consideration during sentencing.

  • Toa Payoh Lor 8 Hawker Centre Pushing Incident – First Person Witness Account From Janice Lim

Toa Payoh Lor 8 Hawker Centre Pushing Incident – First Person Witness Account From Janice Lim

We got in touch with Janice Lim, identified via her Facebook comments on the viral video to be a credible first person witness when the pushing incident happened at Toa Payoh Lor 8 Market and Food Centre last night.

In the video, a well-dressed lady is seen arguing with an old man over the seats at a round table in the hawker centre. She called someone for help and an equally well-dressed young man came to her rescue, shoving the old man from behind, causing him to fall forward:

Janice recounted the whole incident to us from the beginning. She said the incident happened at around 8.45pm. The hawker centre was very crowded and the table which caused the incident was the only available table where no one was seated.

When the old man approached the table with his tray of food, there was no one seated at the table. However, there was a folded purple umbrella placed on the table, presumably to chope the seat.

The young woman then confronted the old man and shouted at him rudely and loudly, spewing a slew of vulgarities which was what caught Janice’s attention.

Janice said that the old man was polite throughout his verbal exchange with the lady. He had said that he only needed one seat and politely asked if all the seats were taken, questioning how many seats did the lady need exactly. The lady did not reply directly. Instead, she insisted that the table was reserved and the old man has no right to occupy a seat. She kept cursing the old man before calling her friend on her mobile to get help.

The young man then came from behind, pushing the old man, causing him to fall forward. What happened from this point is captured on video.

Janice said that after the pushing, another kind gentleman came over and offered for the old man to sit with him at his table (don’t say Singaporeans are all selfish). Someone should identify this good guy and buy him a beer or something!

Janice said that the well-dressed couple did not eat anything, but they ordered many takeouts and continued to occupy the table. There were no other people who came to join them at the table either.

Janice also shared that another guy went over to the young man and told him that he should not have pushed the old man. In agitation, the young man pushed and shoved all the used plates and utensils on the floor in a fit of rage.

Janice concluded the interview saying that she was shocked by the behaviour of the well-dressed couple and that this is the one of the worst manifestation of the ‘chope’ culture that we have in Singapore.

Hopefully, this interview with Janice cleared the air on what actually transpired, providing the context to the video.

  • American Sexual Predator Preyed On Young Teenage Girls In Singapore,

American Sexual Predator Preyed On Young Teenage Girls In Singapore,

Harbouring a fetish for young girls, a 39-year-old man used social media platforms to lure victims, then secretly filmed them engaging in sexual acts with him to add to his stash of child pornography videos.

Joshua Robinson, who successfully preyed on two 15-year-olds between September 2013 and June 2015, was on Thursday (March 2) sentenced to four years’ jail, as the judge described him as a sexual predator.

When the law caught up with Robinson, officers who raided his apartment found 5,902 obscene films, of which 321 videos featured children between the ages of 2 and 16. This is believed to be the largest child pornography video collection seized from one person in Singapore.

Robinson, a mixed-martial arts instructor, faced 29 charges in total, ranging from sexual penetration of a minor to making an obscene film. The prosecution proceeded with nine of these charges, with the remaining taken into consideration during sentencing.

In March 2015, the American used the pseudonym “Tristan” to contact a 15-year-old girl on a social media website. He told her she looked good, and asked for more photographs of herself. The conversation ended after she declined his request.

Months later, she posted a drawing online, and he contacted her again to praise her artwork. They exchanged numbers thereafter.

He claimed that he was 27, and told the girl that he had a fetish for young girls in uniform.

“I have wanted to find as young as possible. I think 13 would be ultimate. But 15 is youngest,” he said in a text message to her.

When she said that she was insecure about her weight, he told her that he accepted the fact. “He took full advantage of her own insecurity about her body image … so that he would get emotionally closer to the victim,” said Deputy Public Prosecutor Nicholas Lai.

During the third week of June, Robinson said that there was no point in chatting online unless they met up. He instructed her to wear her school uniform without underwear and met her at Clarke Quay MRT Station on the morning of June 23, before they went to his apartment at Upper Circular Road. In the apartment, he filmed the sexual acts that he performed on her.

“As (she) was engaged in sexual activity with the accused, she noticed that he was using his handphone at all times. She was unaware of what he was doing at first and assumed he was just ‘multi-tasking’ on his handphone,” said DPP Lai.

After the meet-up, she had a mental breakdown and filed a police report.

During investigations, the police found 12 obscene videos of Robinson with another 15-year-old girl on his laptop. It turned out that he got to know her from a dating website in 2013.

They had at least three sexual encounters between September 2013 and September 2014.

While Robinson was on police bail, he showed a six-year-old girl an obscene video of himself at a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym at Peace Centre. On July 27, 2015, the girl had accompanied her father to the gym, and as he trained, Robinson approached her to show her the obscene video.

DPP Lai described Robinson as a prowler on the internet who sexually groomed and morally corrupted his young victims.

“The victims were 15 years old when the accused, who was two-and-a-half times their age at the material time, coaxed them into performing sexual acts with him… From the get go, the accused had preyed on the victims’ youth, naivety and vulnerability to satiate his sexual lust,” said the prosecutor.

Agreeing with the prosecution, District Judge Crystal Ong said that Robinson demonstrated a propensity for committing sexual acts with young girls, although a psychiatrist ruled out any mental illness such as pedophilia.

Defence lawyer Mervyn Tan acknowledged that it was wrong to use social media to “lure and attract” victims. But he also argued that the films in Robinson’s possession were for private consumption, and not meant for circulation.

  • Man Jailed Three Weeks For Taking Video Of Co-Tenant Showering

Man Jailed Three Weeks For Taking Video Of Co-Tenant Showering

A 48-year-old man was jailed three weeks on Monday for taking a video of his co-tenant when she was showering.

The incident took place on Dec 23 last year, around 12am.

The Malaysian and the victim were co-tenants in a HDB flat along New Upper Changi Road.

The victim, who cannot be named as there is a gag order, was about to put on her clothes after showering when she noticed a hand holding a mobile phone over the toilet door.

There was a gap between the toilet door and the ceiling, and the mobile phone was pointed towards the interior of the toilet.

After the victim shouted, her co-tenant withdrew his hand.

When she went out of the toilet, she noticed that he was seated five metres away from the toilet area and was fiddling with his phone, which was in camera mode.

She then took his phone away, and called the police.

Investigations showed that the man had heard the victim going into the toilet and knew she was showering as he heard the sound of running water. He went outside the toilet and took a video of her, but deleted the footage when she confronted him.

For insulting the modesty of a woman, he could have been jailed up to one year and fined.
