Dimana Perginya Dana Yang Dikumpulkan MUIS?

Ada sesiapa mengetahui mengapa MUIS punya Financial Report tahun 2013 belum lagi dikeluarkan atau belum dapat dilihat? Yg boleh saya dapat di lelaman MUIS ialah Financial Report tahun 2012.

MUIS Net Asset tahun 2012 = $271 juta

MBMF Net Asset pula berjumlah $107 juta.

Saya masih menantikan Financial Report tahun 2013. Kalau ada sesiapa yg mengetahui dimana saya boleh mendapat statement tersebut, sila memberitahuinya. Terima Kasih.

  • Malay Race Being Discriminated When Apply for SG Citizenship

Malay Race Being Discriminated When Apply for SG Citizenship

    newcitizennric

    han hui hui new citizen

As promised this is the real-life story which I feel all true blue Singaporeans should know. Compare it with the ease with which PR and citizenship are dished out to foreigners, especially from the PRC, the PAP’s favourite hunting ground for immigrants to make Singapore more Chinese than it already is. And naturally Yang Yin’s case comes to mind.

This insulting tale which I’m about to tell I believe is not an isolated one. Many others may have been suffering – and still suffering – in silence.

Yaacob (not his real name) is the youngest in a family of 6 children – 5 boys and a girl. He is in his thirties and was born, bred and schooled in Singapore. He works and contributes to the economy as a forklift operator. His elderly parents and all his elder siblings are full citizens with pink ICs. Through some unexplained circumstances Yaacob is the only one holding a blue IC.

The fault could have been caused by an inadvertent mistake of his father, a simple folk, or that of the officer at the NRO.

Having faced all the inconveniences of a blue IC holder and missing out on all the rights and privileges of a citizen through no fault of his, Yaacob finally decided seek help. He did not say whether he had gone to see any MP because he might have thought that as a blue IC holder he would not be entertained. Incidentally he lives in Ang Mo Kio and the principal MP there is none other than the PM himself.

He went straight to the Immigration/National Registration Office at Kallang, armed with copies of his parents’ and siblings’ birth certificates and ICs.
After a lengthy wait he was interviewed by an officer. But instead of assisting him the officer, a Chinese, threw insults at him by telling him:

    1. Though he might be born in Singapore it does not necessarily mean that he can become a citizen.
    2. The issuing of pink ICs to his parents and siblings was a mistake, and this killer statement …..
    3. His parents could have got married after he was born!

He was then asked to bring his school records and told to leave and wait for a letter from the authorities. He is still waiting.

Yang Yin forged a degree, joined the RC, allegedly cheated and stole from an elderly Singaporean, lied about his association with local organisations, took photographs with the MP and the PM and rumoured to have donated large sums of money to the PAP grassroots, etc and he got his PR. No question need to be asked nor a background check necessary.

Yaacob on the other hand is only making his contributions as a forklift operator but born, bred and schooled in Singapore. What is he getting? INSULTS! CAN YOU TAKE THIS?

To the PAP skin colour and money talk! Others don’t matter.

  • Yusof Ishak Mosque Will Reach Out To Other Communities, Enhance Social Cohesion

Yusof Ishak Mosque Will Reach Out To Other Communities, Enhance Social Cohesion

The new Yusof Ishak Mosque in Woodlands will embody the same values that the former president often stressed: racial harmony and multi-culturalism.

Besides serving as a place of worship for the Muslim community, it will also hold programmes that reach out to other communities and enhance understanding and social cohesion.

The proposed design of the mosque in Woodlands Drive 17 was unveiled at a roadshow yesterday at the An-Nur Mosque in Admiralty Road, after its name was first revealed by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the National Day Rally on Sunday.

Describing Singapore’s first head of state as an outstanding member of the pioneer generation, PM Lee said Mr Yusof had been a president for all Singaporeans and stood for enduring values that underpinned Singapore’s success: meritocracy, multiracialism and modernisation.

At yesterday’s event, Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Yaacob Ibrahim said the mosque will work to carry on this legacy.

“The primary function of a mosque is obviously to serve the needs of a religious community, in this case the Malay-Muslim community. But having named the mosque after him, it’s also important that we try and encourage as many programmes as possible to bring non-Muslims closer to the mosque. I’m sure he will want that to happen, because having his name there, it’s almost a national institution,” he added.

The design of the $15 million mosque, which sits on a 2,500 sq m site and has capacity for 4,200 worshippers, draws inspiration from Mr Yusof’s official and private residences and will feature eaves, a verandah and balustrades that are distinctive of a tropical Malay house. It will also have a pitch roof instead of grand domes, an auditorium, a cafe and an IT corner.

Mufti Mohamed Fatris Bakaram, Singapore’s highest Islamic authority, added that he hopes the mosque will instil the values that the former president held dear: piousness, community spirit, and the motivation to do better.

“(These are) values significant in the life of Yusof Ishak that need to be developed further and instilled in the hearts and minds of the next generation,” he said.

Together with the 4,500-capacity Maarof Mosque in Jurong West that was announced in June, the Yusof Ishak Mosque will ease overcrowding at the An-Nur Mosque, which is currently the only mosque serving Woodlands and Marsiling. Both new mosques are expected be ready in 2016.

Woodlands resident Mohammad Hisham Hairi, 46, said the Yusof Ishak Mosque will be more convenient for him to worship at because it will be closer to home.

The taxi driver, who has lived for 14 years in the area, now alternates between An-Nur and mosques in Sembawang, which he said are packed at peak timings.

“I’m sure more Woodlands residents will go (to the Yusof Ishak Mosque) instead of Sembawang or Marsiling, so there will be less spillover,” he said. “It’s nice that we’ve got another place for us to pray and get near to Allah.”

  • National Day Rally 2014: Tribute to SG First President Yusof Ishak

National Day Rally 2014: Tribute to SG First President Yusof Ishak

SINGAPORE – A new mosque, a professorship and the renaming of a research centre: these are how the country’s first president Yusof Ishak will be honoured for the contributions and sacrifices he made in steering Singapore through its tumultuous years as a fledgling nation.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced these three ways by which the country will pay tribute to Mr Yusof – who was appointed Singapore’s Yang di-Pertuan Negara six months after it gained self-government in 1959, and as the first president of an independent Singapore in 1965 – at the start of his National Day Rally on Sunday night.

The new mosque in Woodlands will be named Masjid Yusof Ishak, and the Institute of South East Asian Studies (ISEAS) in the National University of Singapore (NUS) will now be known as ISEAS – The Yusof Ishak Institute. A Yusof Ishak Professorship in Social Sciences will also be started at NUS.

Fundraising efforts for the professorship will be headed by a committee appointed by Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Yaacob Ibrahim, who had, at a Hari Raya get-together earlier this month, announced that plans to honour Mr Yusof were on the cards.

Mr Lee described Mr Yusof as an outstanding pioneer in his Malay speech, noting that he was committed to progress through education, and helped strengthen Singapore’s ties with its neighbours.

He also noted the late president was a deeply religious man who also had close and friendly relationships with non-Muslims and strongly supported multiracial policies.

“These are ways by which we ensure that future generations of Singaporeans will hold dear the memory, ideals and values of Encik Yusof Ishak,” said Mr Lee.

Mr Lee also paid special thanks to Mr Yusof’s widow, who was in the audience, saying: “Puan Noor Aishah, we are grateful for all the contributions and sacrifices made by your late husband to the nation. Thank you!”

    AL-yusofishak6-1708e

Singapore’s pioneers examplified the spirit of partnership and sacrifice that the country hopes to foster in its citizens, the prime minister added.

“Pioneer Malays had a choice at independence, and you cast your lot with Singapore. Your choice enabled Singapore to grow into a unique multi-racial and multi-religious society,” he said. “Thank you for having faith in Singapore, and working with other communities to set Singapore on a path to development.”

  • Gaza Conflict: Singapore Can Send Humanitarian Aid Says Yaacob Ibrahim

    Photo AP
    Photo AP

Like many Muslim Singaporeans, my colleagues and I are disturbed and saddened about the conditions in Gaza.

Over the past weekend, I have also shared views on the matter:

“With the unrest in Gaza still going on, there are two things that we can do at this point – firstly help those affected through humanitarian effort and secondly, keep praying for peace. I am happy that we are able to organize a donation drive and collect a lot of money which can be channeled to those in need. I think there is a strong desire in the Muslim community to see an end to all hostilities and hopefully with all the efforts by the world leaders, together with what we can do here in Singapore, peace can come to the region as soon as possible. Meanwhile, we can continue to pray and use the blessings of the month of Ramadan, to do the best that we can through the means that we have here in Singapore.”

It is heart wrenching to see innocent victims of this deadly episode dying and suffering.

Let us continue to do our part to bring peace to the region.
