Singer Sheila Majid Got into Trouble Because Of Her Tweet…

Umno information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa says that iconic singer Sheila Majid, who tweeted about the rising cost of living, was mistaken.

The Barisan Nasional Backbenchers Club portal reported Annuar as saying that much of what Sheila said was not true.

“A lot of it is wrong, because this is not her field,” said Annuar.

However, he said that he respected the views and responses of the rakyat and would have a positive attitude about it.

“We must respect the voices out there, we must give them our attention, and the Government must be positive about it,” he said.

On Tuesday, Sheila tweeted her disappointment about the rising cost of living which many Malaysians are facing.

“Food is expensive, the ringgit is weak, the cost of living is high and jobs are scarce,” read part of her tweet.

Sheila also said that many Malaysians want the Government to focus on getting the country back on track.

Earlier Wednesday, Puteri Umno executive committee member Khaidhirah Abu Zahar took a jab at actress Fathia Latiff at the Umno annual general assembly here.

“If she really wants to talk about the struggles of the people, then go on the ground like Puteri Umno. If she just wants to simply type words using her smartphone, then there’s no need,” said Khaidhirah.

“There’s no need to meddle in government affairs,” Khaidhirah said in her speech at the assembly.

In a recent Instagram post, Fathia had posted a tribute to former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, saying that his contributions to the country seemed to have been forgotten.

  • ‘Saya Kurus Sebab Semangat Diet Nak Kahwin’

‘Saya Kurus Sebab Semangat Diet Nak Kahwin’

Lain orang lain cara, jangan ikut kalau badan tiada daya ketahanan yang tinggi. Saya bukan pakar fitness, tetapi ia berkesan pada saya. Bila badan dah naik, saya akan diet sekejap. Dan bila badan dah slim, saya makan macam-macam semula. Ambil yang baik, yang buruk buang jauh-jauh.

NO CARBO, NO SUGAR, NO FRUIT

Sarapan pagi – tiga biji telur setiap pagi
Makan tengah hari – Ayam goreng, grill, bakar 1/4 (beli je)
Makan malam (sebelum 7 petang) – Sup sayur hijau, ayam atau daging

Makanlah berkilo-kilo protein setiap hari. Lagi banyak kilo turun sebab lemak-lemak asal dalam badan bekerja sekuatnya untuk membakar protein yang kita makan.

Ingat, disiplin mesti kuat.

Sorry kawan-kawan, saya memang sakit tetapi saya kurus sebab semangat diet nak kahwin.

  • Muslim Wedding At A “No Pork, No Lard” Eatery – Should You Attend Or Not?

Muslim Wedding At A “No Pork, No Lard” Eatery – Should You Attend Or Not?

Member of public is concerned over attending a wedding of a Muslim couple done at an eatery without MUIS halal certification nor was it 100% Muslim-owned.

She attended the wedding in good faith at an eatery in a hotel. However, her sixth sense made her ask the staff there on the halal status of the place.

She asked the staff there and to her horror, the eatery was not certified halal by MUIS and instead the status was simply “No Pork, No Lard”.

The staff concerned also said that all the food ingredients used had individual halal certification. However, when asked to produce the supporting documents for the claim, the staff concerned was not able to do so.

This posting is not meant to highlight an eatery that is not MUIS halal certified. Such eateries are not our concern actually.

The concern is NOT on the eatery.

The concern, as expressed by the member, is on the Muslim family that organised a wedding with invitees who were mainly Muslims at an eatery without MUIS halal certification nor was the eatery owned by Muslims.

The concern can be summed up as follows:

    (a) Muslim invitees to Muslim weddings should not be subjected to eating foods served at such eateries that had no MUIS halal certification or not owned by Muslims.

    (b) Muslim families organising weddings at restaurants or hotels should be more discerning about the halal status of those makan places.

    (c) Muslim Invitees to Muslim weddings should be made to feel safe attending such weddings, without having the need to check on the halal status of the eateries themselves. Muslim families organising their weddings should ensure that the eateries concerned are at either certified halal by MUIS or Muslim-owned.
