I’m Not A Fan Of Madonna But I Feel It’s Unfair For Her Fans To Attend A Watered-Down Version Of Her Concert

I am writing regarding the Madonna concert here being given an R18 rating (“Madonna to perform in Singapore on Feb 28”; Jan 7).

I am not a Madonna fan and cannot afford to attend the concert, but I know some of her music.

And I think that anyone, even a religious person, who intends to go to the concert knows what the music icon is all about and will not get offended. It is a Madonna concert.

It would be unfair to fans if the concert is going to be a watered-down version of her current world tour, and other countries get the full value.

It is now 2016, and the majority of Singaporeans are not as conservative as the authorities think, so let those who are attending the concert get what is expected of a Madonna concert.

HDB Flat Buyers Still Living In Denial – HDB Still Owner Of Most Expensive Concrete Pigeon Holes
Ah Kow: I heard from kopi tiam talking about our HDB not really belong to us. How come like that?

Ahmad: Not possible leh. Must belong to me because every month my CPF OA become kosong to pay for my 3-room bird cage.

Arumugam: I don’t believe you guys also same as the 70% PAP supporters still believe in our home ownership crap. Let me tell you – this is a SCAM! But it’s the people who voted for this scam.

Ah Kow: Wa lau eh, say until so serious wait you get letter from PAP Aunty Sue then you know.

Arumugam: Aiyah, when I state facts, why should I be afraid? There is more evidence but before I show you this, let me show you some proof I saw on the internet a few months ago. (Turning on his laptop) he pointed to a legal document.

Ah Kow and Ahmad almost fell off their chairs in disbelief.

Ah Kow: But if everyone think we are the real owner, that means it must be true.

Arumugam: Long time ago before policemen wore shorts, people believed the world was flat. Not everyone like you so ignorant but I don’t blame you. PAP’s propaganda machine damn powerful, can turn black into white, night into day. Look at another document here – the ‘owner’ is just the lessee.

Ahmad: I think Arumugam is right, see this document here (below), also state the word lessees. Sia, I think we all kena con big time.

Arumugam: Singaporeans really living in denial but they cannot admit the truth because it would mean they have been blur like sotongs. Few adults will admit they have been fooled by their government.

Ah Kow: I also don’t want to believe this, sia.

Arumugam: When I rented out a room last year, guess what? I must inform the real landlord, HDB ,and submit all the particulars of my tenant. If you really own a property, such as a condo, there’s no need to inform anyone because you are not a fake landlord, like HDB ‘owners’.

Ah Kow: Hmm… ya hor, I feel dam sian but I understand better now. No wonder because HDB is the real landlord it can decide to suka suka change HDB rules. Knn I better sell my HDB tomorrow, don’t want to kena scam.

Ahmad: Bro, after selling, where you stay? Set up tent at the beach or sleep at void decks?

Arumugam: Seriously, PAP has been screwing up citizens and profiting from us because that is the only way it can make money – in Singapore. At the stroke of a pen, “lessees” = “owners” just like CPF belongs to us but the rules are rewritten by PAP almost every year..

Ahmad: But isit big deal if lessee is not owner?

Arumugam: It is a very big deal because if all HDB ‘owners’ are correctly classified as ‘lessees’, then our home ownership rate will fall from 90.3 % to the lowest in the world.

Arumugam: Actually today I want to tell you guys that HDB already confirmed Singaporeans are not the owners on its website which it stated “Your can sublet your whole flat” or “You can sublet your spare bedroom(s)”.link

Ah Kow: Sublet and rent not the same meh?

Arumugam: HDB did not use “sublet” without knowing the definition. Merriam-Webster dictionary defines “sublet” as:
- : to allow someone to use (an apartment, house, etc., that you are renting) for a period of time in return for payment
- : to use (an apartment, house, etc., that is rented by someone) in return for payment
Ahmad: That mean for 50 years everyone kena con by PAP?

Arumugam: People want to believe they are owners, especially when prices keep going up and they feel richer on paper. So they keep voting for PAP. People want to con themselves with the help of PAP. This own self con own self game has been played for too long and PAP will lose face big time if foreign media discover what has been going on. Now you look at the next page to confirm we are HDB’s tenants and our tenants are correctly classified as “subtenants” by HDB. If we are really “owners” as stated, HDB should not have stated our “tenants” as “subtenants”.

Ah Kow: Sia, I think Aru is right. HDB say our tenants are “subtenants” mean we are “tenants” of HDB. Knn I want to go Hong Lim Green and hold protest rally like Roy.

Ahmad: Bro, be careful OK. Roy HLP protest rally kena shut down by civil servants who play politics. You don’t forget you only got ITE cert, who want to listen to you. Ha ha.

Arumugam: Singapore is so unique to have scored another first in the world: property ‘owners’ are not allowed to mortgage their property. But we can’t always blame PAP for scamming us because we have the most educated morons voting for this own-government-scam-own-citizens system. Just have to live with HDB being the real owner of the most expensive concrete pigeon hole in the sky. (sigh)

Former WP Member: Pritam Singh A Clown For Suggesting That MINDEF Also Charge For Parking

Another clown from the WP side. Made such comparison without thinking.

By making NSMen to pay for parking space in camps is totally a bad idea. Firstly, most camps do have parking lots reserved for NSMen to park their vehicles during their call-ups. Do Mr Pritam Singh or WP do their call-ups before? Army camps are mostly situated away from any sights of residential or industrial areas. If many NSMen have to park their vehicles hundreds of metres away from the camps, they may jammed up the nearby parking spaces.

Secondly, have he or WP made a comparison of the number of vehicle parked in camps and schools?
In schools, the staffs that parked their vehicles are just a small fraction of estimated 20 vehicles. However in camps provided when thereare call-ups the number of vehicles parked could be more than 50 to 100 vehicles. MOST of the NSMen pooled their vehicles to reach to the camps.

Now more and more clowns are talking points without having considerations to the People. Mr Pritam Singh and WP is now showing that they are just incapable in having “debates” for the People. Next GE, WP Aljunied may fall completely with such clowns voted in.

Zulfikar Shariff: What Is A Melayu?

What is a Melayu? A common mistake is to view Malayness by ancestry.

I have discussed this issue several times. A Melayu is not based on genetics. It is a nation.

This nation is defined by language, culture and Islam.

In his book “Kerajaan”, Anthony Milner provided some characteristics of the Melayu. He argued that unlike some other nations, the Malays never belonged to a single empire.

The Malays did not “consider themselves members of a race which owed its origins to a single ancestor or homeland.” But as Raffles noted, the Melayu nation is “one people, speaking one language, though spread over so wide a space, and preserving their character and customs.”

For Milner, even though the Malays did not belong to one race or empire, there is unity to the nation “that permits us to talk of a ‘Malay world’”.

Zainal Abidin Ahmad (also known as Za’ba), in 1917, stated that, any person “may be considered to be of the one Malay bloodline in the Malay World as long as they originate from the Indo-Malay archipelago, profess Islam as their religion, and adopt the Malay language, worldview, temperament, and customs” (Chong).

Milner provided similar assessments. He provided 3 conditions for Malayness: Malay culture, language and Islam.

Insha Allah in the next post, I will elaborate on the three conditions that Milner wrote about.

But we can here understand the concept of “masuk Melayu”.

The Malays is a welcoming and hospitable nation. They welcome others into their society. The Chinese traders, Indian merchants, Arab businessmen. They are all accepted into our society and accorded respect and welcome as is known of the Malays.

And if they are Muslims, speak the Malay language and follow our customs, they are accepted as a Malay.

Very few, if any, society has such openness and acceptance.

Primary School Boy: I Wish To Be Smartphone So My Parents Will Love Me More

A teacher after the dinner she started checking homework done by the students. Her husband is strolling around with a smart phone playing his favourite game ‘Candy Crush Saga’. When reading the last note, the wife starts crying with silent tears.

Her husband saw this and asked, ‘Why are you crying dear? What happened?’

Wife: ‘Yesterday I gave homework to my 1st Standard students, to write something on topic -My Wish-.

’Husband: ‘OK, but why are you crying?

’Wife: ‘Today while checking the last note, it makes me crying.

’Husband curiously: ‘What’s written in the note that makes you crying?

’Wife: ‘Listen. My wish is to become a smart phone. My parents love smart phone very much.

They care smart phone so much that sometimes they forget to care me.When my father comes from office tired, he has time for smart phone but not for me. When my parents are doing some important work and smart phone is ringing, within single ring they attend the phone, but not me even…even if I am crying.

They play games on their smart phones not with me.When they are talking to someone on their smart phone, they never listen to me even if I am telling something important. So, my wish is to become a smart phone.

After listening the note husband got emotional and asked the wife, ‘who wrote this?’. Wife: ‘Our son’.

Gadgets are beneficial, but they are for our ease not to cease the love amongst family and loved ones.

Children see and feel everything what happens with & around them. Things get imprinted on their mind with an everlasting effect. Let’s take due care, so that they do not grow with any false impressions.
