Erwin Shah Dawson: You Get Complete Freedom In Malaysia Where Islam Is Concerned

Regarding the recent article “Erwin Ingin Berhijrah Ke Malaysia Kerana Islam”

Lets clarify and go through this step by step, point by point.

1st) to recall word for word what i said will be close to impossible. But i recall my intentions of the article.

-the intention wasnt to badmouth or slander Singapore’s Islam. It was just a pleasant feeling to be in a place where one gets COMPLETE freedom where Islam is concerned.

•the fact u get Adhan loudly at almost every few kilometres during every waktu. We dont get that in Sg. Its a pleasant feeling to be hearing different Voices and different Intonations of Adhan . U cant disagree that Singapore disallows the Adhan to be recited out loud during Prayer Time. Basically, it feels nice for a change.

•the fact that our kids dont have to be restricted to only Madrasah Schools to be obliging our Islamic Laws on Aurah.
Sikhs can wear turban but Muslimahs cant wear Hijab? Freedom or not? U decide.

•the fact that every school will teach the basic of Islam since as early as Nursery.
We have been programmed to think that Government school offers better future in this modern world. Thus many of us Sgporean Muslims refuses to send our child to Madrasah School Instead.
    Agree to Disagree

•People being rejected Jobs because they are Malays or Muslims.
Women do not get a job because they wear Hijab.

•I can go on about this, but thats not my point. There is no denying that certain aspects of our Beautiful Religion is being constrained by the government disguised in the name of Racial Harmony and whatever not. U cant disagree that this is true.

•Take Note that i dont think its a bad thing or so difficult to be A Muslim in Singapore, im just saying that is a nice feeling to see the complete freedom of Islam . Especially when u see ur own country facing Racial and Discrimination against Malays/Islam ,which is obvious but yet ppl seem to take it like it is Subtle .
In short, i didnt kutok my own country at all. Im just praising the COMPLETE freedom Malaysia has regarding Islamic Practices.

    2) Ive spoken about this migration to various people. So perhaps some factors might have been missed out this time round. Either i forgot to say it, or they forgot to write it.
    But here goes

    • I have every intention to study Islam one day. And in Malaysia, there are various schools and Universities, and it is easily accessible to study Islam where Certifications are concerned.
Whereas in Singapore, it is really limited.

So , is it wrong that im migrating becos the study of Islam is easily accessible as compared to where i was born? Am i lying or am i just stating facts? U decide

    3) the ones yg easily melatar or jumped to conclusions base on what one party interpreted. The comments u people give out ,seriously?
    Mengata, menghina, menyindir, perli,
Fooh, sangat Muslim prangai korang ye😅. Renungkanlah prangai korang yg mengata ye.

    4) The only major Question i have is this, where was it stated or mentioned that i critisized Singapore or their Muslims AT ALL? Can show me

And yes, it is also because i wana pursue my career . Its related but not solely the reason for it.

Slamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir Batin , Maaf kalau ade silap kata atau terkasar bahasa. Assalamualaikum.

  • Blade Runner Singapura Tolak Tawaran USD$60,000 Untuk Jadi Model Bogel

Blade Runner Singapura Tolak Tawaran USD$60,000 Untuk Jadi Model Bogel

  • Clare Rewcastle Brown – The Woman Behind Whistleblower Website Sarawak Report

Clare Rewcastle Brown – The Woman Behind Whistleblower Website Sarawak Report

Sarawak Report founder Clare Rewcastle Brown was born in Sarawak in 1960 to British parents.

She is married to Mr Andrew Brown, the brother of former British prime minister Gordon Brown, who has publicly supported her work against deforestation in the East Malaysian state.

During a visit to her birthplace in 2005 to speak at an environmental conference, Mrs Brown was asked by local journalists and activists to support the campaign against deforestation occurring under the state government of then Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud.

She began her anti-Taib campaign in earnest in 2010, running the Sarawak Report and sister radio station Radio Free Sarawak from a flat in London to expose alleged corruption by the senior Malaysian politician.

She went public as the founder of the two media outlets just months before Sarawak’s state polls in 2011, in which the opposition parties recorded their best performance. But it was not enough to unseat Tan Sri Taib, who later resigned in 2014 after 33 years in power to fill the more ceremonial role of governor.

As with the current allegations that Mrs Brown is part of a conspiracy to topple Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, she was also accused in 2011 of running a malicious agenda to bring down Sarawak’s Barisan Nasional government.

But Mrs Brown has said that “we are not motivated by malice, only by concern for the people of Sarawak and the priceless Borneo jungle that has been destroyed by the greed of just a few people”.

Sarawak has put her on a travel blacklist and, in 2013, she was deported from the state on the day before British Prime Minister David Cameron was due to meet his Malaysian counterpart, Datuk Seri Najib, in London.

The 55-year-old Mrs Brown, who first worked as a journalist for the BBC World Service in 1983, has also denied that she is seeking to topple Mr Najib.

She told The Malaysian Insider website that such an agenda “is not my role, I am just exposing the truth as a journalist”.

Over the past year, the Sarawak Report has published astonishing claims that 1Malaysia Development Berhad – whose advisory board is headed by the Prime Minister – was a front for Mr Najib and several businessmen to misappropriate public funds.

The allegations have been furiously denied by these individuals and the debt-laden state investor.

  • Spoiled Girl Mistakes Malay Lady At Library For Indon Maid

Spoiled Girl Mistakes Malay Lady At Library For Indon Maid

Netizen Faizah Zakaria shared a bad experience she had at the library when a spoiled child treated her as if she was a maid just because of her skin colour. This is not the way for a child to behave towards our Malay Singaporean brothers and sisters.. The parents should educate the child not to treat others like slaves. Let’s share her story and condemn discrimination.

“I was sitting in the children’s section of the library reading a book to my (Chinese-looking) nephew when a little Chinese girl interrupted us. “Excuse me,” she said imperiously. I looked up. “Here,” she said pushing a plastic wrapping into my hands. Then she walked off without another word to join her mother who was texting busily a few steps away.

I was quite stunned to realize that she expected me to throw away her rubbish for her. Okay, maybe she had not meant to be offensive and thought I look like an Indonesian maid or something. Still, when is it ever acceptable to zero in on the only brown-skinned person in the library (excluding the officers) and expect her to take care of the trash? Even if I were a maid, that doesn’t give some random kid a right to do so, especially when the rubbish bin is a only a few steps away. It is not okay to expect strangers to pick up after you whether they are Chinese, Malay, Indonesian, Filipino, Indian or Martian.

Have a happy racial harmony day tomorrow, Singapore. We have some way to go.”

  • Man Left With Gashing Wound After Seat Gives Way At Changi Hawker Centre

Man Left With Gashing Wound After Seat Gives Way At Changi Hawker Centre

Stomper Rizuan was left with a horrible wound when the stool he was sitting on at the hawker centre gave way.

He shared with Stomp the horrific incident that happened on Jun 26, at about 7pm at Changi Village.

He said in a phone interview:

“Went to Hawker Centre to break fast. Upon sitting on one of the seat, the seat gave way resulting in me falling backward and having a deep cut on my left calf.

“The top part of the seat fell off, my left calf was stuck on the metal part as it was trying to prevent me from falling backward.”

The result was a horrific wound that was 10-cm long and left Rizuan bleeding profusely.

The photos he sent show a shocking amount of blood on the floor.

    He continued:

“The stall holder from the Nasi Lemak stall and some members of the public came to help me.

“I am still under hosptalisation leave. I am not allowed to walk now.

“I am going back in four days to check up on my leg.”

He added that he was concerned about a public safety issue, for the seats were apparently glued on and not nailed.

“The seats are glued, not nailed, it is not safe.

“This time it happened to me, next time it could be children, pregnant women or old people. You will never know.”

Rizuan feels that this is an issue that needs to be looked into.

He is also currently still looking for a lawyer and legal advice to see how he could proceed on claims.
