Malaysian Couple Allegedly Hypnotised By Pickpocket While Shopping In KLCC

Recently, a netizen known as Muhamad Hafiz and his wife were shopping at Suria KLCC when a pickpocket stole his wife’s purse. He decided to share this incident on Facebook to caution other shoppers, simultaneously hoping to identify the culprits through the power of social media.

    This is what he said.

“My wife’s purse, along with cash and important documents inside were stolen in the ZARA boutique at Suria KLCC. The CCTV clearly captured the culprit’s face and many similar cases have happened here before using the same modus operandi.”

“They were very cunning and I believe my wife and I were hypnotised by the pickpocket as we honestly did not feel anything amiss although the woman was clearly closing in on my wife.”

Hafiz also uploaded the CCTV footage, which clearly revealed the strategy of the women. It appears that the pickpocket has another accomplice who stood in front of the victims, acting as distraction.

The pickpocket who was holding a blouse as cover approached the victim and stealthily retrieved her purse. Although the pickpocket was in such close proximity to the victim, the couple didn’t seem to be alarmed at all, which led the husband to believe that they’ve been hypnotised.

    Here’s the footage he uploaded.

  • Denying Husbands Sex Is Abuse: Malaysian MP

Denying Husbands Sex Is Abuse: Malaysian MP

A Malaysian lawmaker came under fire on Wednesday (Jul 26) for saying that women who deny their husbands sex were subjecting them to “psychological and emotional abuse”.

Che Mohamad Zulkifly Jusoh, an MP from the ruling coalition, said during a parliamentary debate on domestic violence that husbands often suffer emotional attacks rather than physical abuse.

“Even though men are said to be physically stronger than women, there are cases where wives hurt or abuse their husbands in an extreme manner,” said the lawmaker, an UMNO member.

“Usually, it involves wives cursing their husbands – this is emotional abuse. They insult their husbands and refuse his sexual needs. All these are types of psychological and emotional abuse.”

Marina Mahathir, a prominent women’s rights activist and daughter of former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed, said the lawmaker’s view was “based on ignorance”.

“Women have a right to say no to sex – this is an old notion that when you marry a women you own her body,” she told AFP. “It does not work that way. It is ridiculous to say men are abused if women say no to sex.”

The 58-year-old lawmaker, from the state of Terengganu also said that denying a Muslim man the chance to marry a second wife amounted to abuse.

It is legal for Muslim men in Malaysia to have as many as four wives. But they must obtain permission from a shariah court to marry more than one.

The MP made the comments on Tuesday during a debate on amendments to domestic violence legislation.

  • Christian Man In Israel Accused Of Killing Daughter Who Was Dating Muslim Man

Christian Man In Israel Accused Of Killing Daughter Who Was Dating Muslim Man

A 58-year-old man has been accused by prosecutors for killing his teenage daughter because she was in a relationship with a Muslim man.

CNN reported that Sami Karra, an Israeli-Arab Christian, allegedly stabbed 17-year-old Henriette Karra to death in their family home in the town of Ramle, a day after she graduated from high school.

According to a criminal indictment filed in a district court this week, Henriette’s relationship with the man had triggered “vehement opposition” from her parents.

This was expressed in violence and threats against her, which caused her to run away from home in late May this year.

She stayed with her boyfriend’s mother for a period of time, but her family tried to force her to return home by threatening her boyfriend and his mother.

Her boyfriend’s mother, who was not named, called the police for help, but Henriette refused aid.

In June, while she was staying at a friend’s home, Karra arrived at the house and started slapping her. He also allegedly shouted that “I would spend my whole life in jail. I don’t care”.

Henriette returned home two days later following a joint meeting with a social worker, and celebrated her high school graduation at a party on June 12.

But the next morning, she told a family member – who then informed Karra – that she had mailed $100 to her boyfriend and intended to convert to Islam after his release from prison.

After hearing the news, Karra took a knife and stabbed his daughter three times.

He was arrested later that same day.
