  • Malay Officer 2LT Ahmad Hafizudin Awarded Sword Of Honour, Dedicates Award To That

Malay Officer 2LT Ahmad Hafizudin Awarded Sword Of Honour, Dedicates Award To That

To mark Father’s Day on Sunday (June 17), Second Lieutenant (2LT) Ahmad Hafizuddin Abdul Hamid, 21, is dedicating his Sword of Honour to his father, auditor Abdul Hamid Abdullah, 62.

The award is given only to the top cadets commissioned as Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) officers. 2LT Ahmad Hafizuddin was one of 475 cadets commissioned on Saturday (June 17) at the Safti Military Institute at Upper Jurong Road.

He said: “My father was an officer when he served his National Service and he advised me to always to do my best.

“His words inspired me. There were times when I encountered obstacles during my training at the Officer Cadet School (OCS). His words pushed me to try even harder and strive for the best.”

The youngest of four siblings said he has two older brothers but is the only one to be commissioned as an officer.

He added: “Preparing for the commissioning parade in the hot sun during Ramadan was not easy as I am fasting. By receiving the Sword of Honour, I feel my hard work has paid off. Hari Raya celebrations will definitely be a more memorable one this year.”

The commissioning parade marked the completion of 38 weeks of rigorous training at the OCS.

  • Kind Young Couple Distributed Tarts So That Others In Long Food Queue Could Break Fast

Kind Young Couple Distributed Tarts So That Others In Long Food Queue Could Break Fast

    *This is worth sharing
Masyallah, this young couple (they are siblings by the way) here deserves a shoutout. A positive example to follow.
We were at coffeebean Suntec and its very near our break fast time. The q was super long and the staffs were doing their best to handle the orders.

Then it’s time to break our fast and many were still in the q.

This young chap and his partner already got a seat and his meals served. Most of us would just start diggin in and be oblivious to our surrounding. But this guy here with a box of tarts, distributed it to the people in the q so that they can break their fast on time.
Just for the info, when a Muslim is fasting and its time to break fast, we have to try our best to break it on time.

And this gentleman here really made our day. An example of a good Muslim and the spirit of Ramadhan is brought alive by sharing his food. He did what not many will do… They are a fine young generation. May Allah bestowe upon them health and blessings… Thank you so much…

  • Tampines Hawker Centre Chicken Rice Stall Served Disappointment In My Lemon Chicken Rice

Tampines Hawker Centre Chicken Rice Stall Served Disappointment In My Lemon Chicken Rice

Salam dan selamat berpuasa kepada semua , i would like to share my bad experience with this chicken rice shop.. This is the worst ever chicken rice i’ve ever bought.. Im really sorry to say that but this is the fact.. I just bought this 2 packet of chicken rice just now evening around 7plus sebelum buka.. I have open 1 packet and put it on a plate wanting to feed my kids ..

There was a long queue and since we never patronize the chicken rice shop there before ; we decided to give it a try despite the long queue.. And so we ordered lemon chicken rice (- off the lemon) as this was for my kids.. When the staff handed me the plastic bag, i was surprised that the weight was so light but i didnt want to check as there was still a long queue behind us nak order mkn untuk buka.. So we paid a total amount of $8.40 (lemon chix rice cost $4 , takeaway add $0.20) No soup..

Service pon bad , tk friendly langsung , senyum pon tkda.. I tak pasal lah kalau tknk senyum ke apa, janji makanan sedap..

So once i’ve reached home , i wanted to feed my kids , terperanjat tengok the quantity was so little.. Tengok the chicken rice pon tkda selera & the chicken tasted funny & weird.. Double confirm with my mum & yes she said that the chicken nk rosak.. As you guys can see from the photo, the chicken is very dark and keras.. Jual org nasi ayam , tapi ayam dah nk rosak??? Hancur.. The nasi was also tasteless , so to be safe i dont dare to feed the chicken rice to my kids.. Tk pasal2 nanti dorang kene sakit perut.. Im so dissapointed that i couldnt get to feed my kids their meal just yet.. Wasted.. Its totally going to be my first and last patronizing that shop..

  • Are Majority Malay Families Being Priced Out Of Geylang Serai By Expensive Hipster Fare?

Are Majority Malay Families Being Priced Out Of Geylang Serai By Expensive Hipster Fare?

And so yday before iftar, I brought my kids to Geylang just for them to get something which they want to eat before Ramadhan ends. We have yet to stepped in Geylang and maybe yday shall be the first and the last we went there Do not favour the atmosphere anymore

But what was most shocking is firstly, I gave them $50 to buy what they want to buy. Upon reaching home, I asked, how much they spent and my boy replied $40. The moment when they placed their food on the table, I began questioning the price of individual food coz I don’t see anything much on the table…coz I thought if it’s $40 then the table must be full right?

Mummy goes screaming when he pointed a plate of small Rainbow bagel with a meat in between that comes with curly fries and it cost him $15

Whattttt????!!!!! This is just Super crazy! And Mr Husband Faizal Kasiran says…”They sure know their target audience!” Haizzzzz…..

I am so disappointed. Very very disappointed…it’s not about the food and my boy but it’s just about the seller whose reaping lots of profit in this beautiful holy month

And yah….I just couldn’t get over it till now….so utterly upset
