Commentary: Halimah Yacob Has Abandoned And Betrayed Residents That Voted For Her In The First Place

She was voted by the residents living in Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC, yet instead of serving the residents as she was voted in for the next 5 years, she abandoned the residents who had voted for her and choose to run in September’s Presidential Election. And wayang so much whether want to contest in the election, no way would I voted for this joker who abandons the residents and abandons her constituents and self-claim herself Malay while her father is an Indian.

She betrays the residents who had voted for her in Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC and betray her own race. What would you expect if she was voted in, perhaps would be even worse than Tony Tan who has done nothing while being a president.

  • Leave Halimah Yacob’s Issue Aside And You Realise Singaporeans Are The Ones Taken For A Ride

Leave Halimah Yacob’s Issue Aside And You Realise Singaporeans Are The Ones Taken For A Ride

Halimah Yacob finally confirmed PAP’s scheme to install her as their choice of “Elected President” by announcing her intentions to run for the election yesterday .

As early as February this year, the PAP had already unintentionally divulged its plan through Chan Chun Sing’s faux pas in Parliament during his speech on the revised EP.

So why didn’t Halimah Yacob just come clean on this instead of pretending to be mull over whether to contest?

The announcement was not even unexpected yet that did not stop many from rolling their eyes in bewilderment. Truely a “bittersweet” moment.

Since everything has already been carefully planned for from the beginning, why still the need for her to wayang so much to the people?

In the end, it is the government and the ministers who are ultimately taking us Singaporeans for a ride.

  • Halimah Yacob: First Woman Speaker Will Be First Woman Presidential Candidate

Halimah Yacob: First Woman Speaker Will Be First Woman Presidential Candidate

Madam Halimah Yacob is Singapore’s first woman Speaker of Parliament and may well be its first woman President.

The potential rise to the highest office of the land would be a far cry from the very humble beginnings of the 62-year-old.

Her father, a watchman, had died of a heart attack when she was eight, leaving her mother to raise her and her four older siblings.

Her mother initially sold nasi padang from a pushcart until she got a hawker stall licence. Madam Halimah would then wake before sunrise to help her before going to school.

She attended Singapore Chinese Girls’ School and Tanjong Katong Girls’ School, and was the only one in her family to go on to university.

She graduated from the University of Singapore with a law degree in 1978, and started work as a legal officer at the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), where she would stay for 33 years.

Two years after graduation, she married her university sweetheart Mohammed Abdullah Alhabshee, a businessman.

The couple, who are of the same age, have five children.

At NTUC, Madam Halimah rose to head its legal services unit and its women’s development secretariat.

She also became the first Singaporean on the governing body of the International Labour Organisation, where she sat from 1999 to 2011.

In 2001, she earned her Masters in law from NUS.

She entered politics the same year and was elected an MP in Jurong GRC, where she was re-elected two more times – in 2006 and 2011.

Madam Halimah focused on her union work, and was NTUC’s assistant secretary-general from 1999 to 2007, before becoming deputy secretary-general from 2007 until 2011.

In 2011, she stepped down from the post when she became an office-holder. She was appointed Minister of State in the then-Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports from 2011 to 2012, after which she moved to the Ministry of Social and Family Development.

She stayed there till 2013 when at the age of 58, she was appointed Speaker of Parliament, becoming the first woman to hold the post.

In interviews, Madam Halimah constantly credited her successes to the support she received from her husband, mother and family.

She called her mother her heroine, and the day her mother died was the saddest moment of her life. It happened on the morning of Polling Day during the 2015 General Election, when she was contesting Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC.

Despite her illustrious career, Madam Halimah is known for being down to earth and close to the ground.

She has also built a reputation for being an unstinting champion of workers, women and the poor.

In an interview with The Straits Times shortly after she was made Speaker, she said she had no plans to move out of her five-room Housing Board home in Yishun, which held many precious memories.

This was despite expectations that she would upgrade to private property.

She also said that living in the heartlands gave her a keen sense of what bothered people and the daily frustrations they faced if their estate was not well taken care of.

    Secrets Of Durian Sellers Revealed

    Hello Durian Lovers

I ( unknown) was a durian seller for more 30 years since 1960’s.

I am revealing some durian sellers dirty tricks & the quality of the durians. This year the durians are very expensive & hope readers will decide after reading it.1) never buy durian from display packaging pack why? becos the seller will assemble overnight or half spoilt durians into packaging pack & sell at fixed price.Actually overnight durians are almost worthless & easily get bad.If the durians taste sour pls stop eating & throw away the pack.

    2) pls do not eat branded durians like Mao Shan Wang/D24/red prawns & others why? the durian farmers will spray toxic chemicals at the tree roots/bark & durians to prevent flying fox/snake/insects & others from attacking their expensive durians. As a result you can hardly see housefly & ants at the durian stalls nowadays.

    3) FYI I lost 2 good friends ( died from throats cancer) by eating branded durians for few years. I did warn them

Just try to eat Mao Shan Wang/D24/red prawns & others you can straight away feel the burning sensation at your throat during your sleep or next morning. This indicate the toxic chemical are working.Another gd example to confirm the above that there are no housefly or ants attacking the durian packaging sale pack although the durians are very sweet. Just check it yourself.

    4) pls buy durians without any pre-opening why? the durians fell from trees snakes/insects will try to eat/attack at any opening of the durians—not safe

Made sure your durians are open in front of you & any pre-opening pls do not accept as the sellers are always tricky. They try to pass the bad one to you & after all they are businessman.( I know all their dirty tricks like using hand gloves or cloth to cover the durians & pretend to open it——actually the durians are already opened or pretend sweet talk to distract you)
Pls check all your buy durians before paying  (they can switch them very fast) & also check their weighting machines. After all the durians is like the price of gold.

    5) pls do not eat any durian cakes/pudding/deserts as the owners buy the cheapest quality.

P/S watch out for more update news.
    Good luck & enjoy it

  • Woman Curses Grab Driver Because He Cannot Legally Pick-Up Child Under 1.35M

Woman Curses Grab Driver Because He Cannot Legally Pick-Up Child Under 1.35M

Stomper Tan, a part-time Grab driver, encountered a woman who had made a booking and then cursed him after he said he was unable to pick up children who did not meet the minimum height requirement.

Under the Road Traffic Act, it is illegal for private hire cars to carry passengers under 1.35 metres tall without a booster seat or a child restraint.

Offenders can face a composition fine of $120 and three demerit points. If charged in court, they are liable to a fine of up to $1,000 or a jail term of up to three months.

The passenger initially responded with “Any problem?” and “So?” when informed of this law. She later told Tan, “Ok you will soon meet with an accident” when he tried imploring for her to understand.

    Said the Stomper:

“I have been a part-time Grab driver for almost two years. I have had my fair share of unreasonable passengers and I would like to share my experience with one particular passenger.

“I am sure almost everyone is aware that private hire drivers are not allowed to pick up kids below a height of 1.35m. This is an ongoing issue being faced by both drivers and passengers alike and it is a huge inconvenience to both sides.

“So I got this particular job and somehow, my sixth sense told me to check for kids below 1.35m. My reason for checking was very simple. Regardless of whether the passenger knows or do not know the law, I do not want to waste both sides’ time.

“If they know and are just trying their luck, then they should jolly well cancel and not waste their time or mine.

“In fact, I am doing both sides a favour by checking instead of going all the way down to find out, then cancel which will waste both sides’ time and not to mention my petrol.

“So when I asked this passenger, all I got in return was a nonchalant attitude. I even got cursed by the passenger when all I was doing was MY JOB to inform her of the consequences.

“I mean, if she really loves her child, why would she risk it just to save a few bucks?”

Tan said he hopes that his experience will spread the awareness of this law.

He also advises parents with children below 1.35m to book the option of GrabFamily instead, where cars equipped with booster seats will arrive.

“Passengers who knowingly book other options just to save costs are just inconsiderate to both their own children and to the drivers,” he added.

“We private hire drivers are out on the roads just to make a decent living, spare a thought for us like we do for your children.”
