A worker died suspended from a tree yesterday after his head was struck by a branch.
The Indian national, identified as Mr Ganesahn, 45, was cutting off the top branch of a 25m-tall tree near Kheam Hock Road in the Bukit Timah area when it broke and he fell.
He was hit by a branch on the left side of his head and his limp body was left hanging 10m above the ground from a rope attached to his safety harness.
Mr Ali Hatib, 35, a co-worker, said: “When we brought him down, he had so much blood on his head.”
Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedics pronounced Mr Ganesahn dead at the scene. The police are investigating the unnatural death.
